We had humble beginnings at Royal Queen Seeds, establishing ourselves in the vibrant city of Amsterdam in 2007. However, our small group of ambitious breeders quickly achieved success, and now we stand as the undisputed spearhead of the global cannabis genetics industry. Recently crowned “Seed Bank of the Year” at the international EMJAYS awards, we exemplify an uncompromising commitment to excellence. We’ve managed to reach such great heights thanks to our obsession with quality; each batch of our premium seeds undergoes meticulous testing to ensure optimal germination, vigour, productivity, and potency.

At RQS, we’ve helped to push the boundaries of research and development within the cannabis space. Our team of breeders, geneticists, and biologists have developed an extensive catalogue of unique genetics and became the first in the world to create true cannabis F1 hybrids. These breakthrough varieties feature excellent uniformity, exceptional levels of THC, and improved pest and disease resistance. Our large and diverse genetics library offers something for every grower, from fast-flowering autos to high-CBD cultivars.

Multiple cannabis cup victories helped to propel our ascent in the industry. Although headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, we’ve now extended our physical presence across the world. We have brick-and-mortar locations in Amsterdam and Barcelona itself, and a large smoking lounge, dispensary, and growing facility in the emerging cannabis hub of Bangkok, Thailand. We also entered the US market and now operate out of another headquarter in the West Coast state of Oregon.

At RQS, we’ve continued to go from strength to strength. Now, we’ve formed a collaboration with Mike Tyson’s weed brand, Tyson 2.0, to give growers all over the world access to The Champ's stellar genetics. To explore these strains, and many more, visit royalqueenseeds.com to discover the epitome of cannabis excellence.

I checked a few seed sites. I was shocked by the prices. RQS have an excellent assortment and prices to fit any budget, mine included. Fast delivery plus free seeds. I have successfully grown every seed I planted and soon will reap the rewards. Being new to the "seed game", I'm happy to be an RQS customer. Thanks!

So far, Royal Critical Auto (x3), O.G. Kush (x1) and Special Kush (x1). I only have a 2x2x60 tent and just grow for myself. One RCA is a week or two away from harvest. O.G. Kush (my free seed) has flowered and looking superb.

I've got 2 rqs plants going right now. Critical and OG Kush are both 40 days from fem seed.
I mixed up the tags. Maybe you guys could ID them?

I think this is 'Critical'

Im guessing this is 'OG Kush'

@RQSGlobal hey where you been?

This is same plant as above. From RQS but not sure if OG Kush or Critical.
What do you guys make of the leaf issues as shown in the pic. This is day 8, 12/12, living soil, pH about 6.6, runoff measures about 550ppm.. DLI ~41

Hey mate!

We would say that from the two pictures above, the first one is the Critical and the second one is the OG Kush.

Regarding the yellow marks, color, and curled leaves, it seems like a case of viral infection, but we cannot be 100% sure without conducting a PCR first. I hope this helps!

Can you clarify this statement from your website? Specifically "Worlds first true f1 hybrid cannabis seeds" View attachment 5383219
Hey there! At Royal Queen Seeds, we are proud to be the first company providing true F1 hybrid seeds to home growers.

We are aware that other companies offer “F1” seeds, meaning seeds coming from the first cross between two strains. These seeds have been available for a long time in the market. However, at RQS, we are the first company to offer "F1 Hybrid" seeds to the home growers, which come from the first cross of two different Inbred Lines (IBLs).

Typically, to produce a true F1 hybrid, we undergo many generations of inbreeding to obtain IBLs with a high level of homozygosity. The combination of these IBLs results in the F1 hybrid, a uniform and stable variety.

These days I tend to swear by F1s for stability in long term clone propagation. It's also nice to be able to selectr your own unique phenotypes that play well with what your after in a strain.

I have zero affiliation with RQS, and havent used any of their genetics in years because i forgot they existed, but I can vouch for RQS, at least from back in the day. My first moneymaker that ended up financing my deeper ventures into the cannabis world was Special Queen #1, and one other from them that also had queen in the name. It was higher quality smoke just didnt clone propagate so well, but i dont remember exactly what the name was. Ive smoked since then.... a lot.

I cloned the special queen for a couple years. Wasn't anything truly top shelf, but has great quality smoke, fantastic yeilds, cloned like ivy.... and holy sh*t, do those girls get big fast outside. The description ain't lying on that. was my first outdoor that pulled more then a lb from a single plant that wasn't started ahead of the growing season.

I went with special queen because it was the cheapest fem seed i could get ahold of that actually had reviews and customer crop pics on leafly. This was probably 2009-2010 iirc. Also never had any stress or full-on hermie issues with RQS beans, and cannot say that about any other inexpensive feminized brands i tried. Popped all 5 special queens, and all 5 of the others over time. All popped IIRC, and my ONLY omplaints were the other one didnt clone so well. But some plants just didnt clone as well, C'est La vie i suppose.

Is the special Queen #1 still the same? I do notice it now has a cup winner logo affixed the stock image on the site. And yea i know how complicated that question may actually be to answer lol. And I def wouldn't mind throwing some of those outside next season now that i have the land for it.

I'm not here to fight with a sponsor, it's just that claim is... well, I'll let people do their own research.

I don't buy white label seed anymore, so I have zero skin in the game.

Yea thats a very iffy statement to make, nor am i defending the statement or making any comment directly about it with mine of the F1 thing. In my head inbreeding for successive generations before making an F1 cross defeats a bit of the purpose of having a true F1.... But hey, whatever floats your boat if the genetics are quality and stable through propagation. I'd be a little annoyed if i bought a fem f1 in a 12 pack and only had a few different phenos to choose from though. I obtain an F1 personally to hunt for something unique and desirable i havent found elsewhere, not necessarily interested in genotype stability if im after an F1.

"hey, its you guys! you guys made me a ton of money back in the day, thanks"

Thats the jist of me being here rn hahaha. And i absolutely would recommend their seeds to new growers especially. And SQ#1 is absolutely one of the best yielding plants ive ever laid out under the stars, and thats something worth mentioning even if its not the greatest smoke around.

Im definitely very non confrontational, if it seems like im trying to be, im just choosing poor wording most likely. Love to Any and all.

ive also been out of the world for years now, im just calling true first generation fem crosses fem F1's. I dont recall if there is a specific bit of nomenclature for that or not.

I spoke to one of the royal queen guys about the f1 thing when they first put them out. The guy was decent and did fairly admit their were others who did this proper f1 hybrids thing. But he did say very few do it now and no one really has a area just dedicated to true f1 hybrids, and felt they are now one of the first in the more so newer age of the legal market who have a place where you can find just true f1 hybrids in that area. I might not agree totaly on the parents material or the vision, but the guy had a point, probably could of worded it slightly better, I think they realised that after speaking to more of the community, guess they are only human like the rest of us . But good luck to the guys. They have a bit of everything on their site in the other sections for all tastes and budgets.

ordered some of the Mike Tyson Gelato 44, and started two in soil blocks. Very strong seedlings, sprouted in like 2 days! Can’t wait to get them in the ground for the summer! Have also grown the Northern Light auto, which was delicious
