if you email 'Emerald Triangle', and ask real nice for some samples, they might even hook you up with samples of bushmaster, gravity, and purple maxx. each sample has more than enough for a few seasons. my buddy gets constant hookups from the nute companies just by asking, thats where i got my gravity from. here's a link to emerald triangle's email
and here's a link to buy it from the only trustworthy online seller: link

Thanks. I have yet to test the effectiveness of the carbon filter but it pushes a lot of air so regulating the temperature isn't going to be hard. What are the dimensions of your cab? I was debating between a 150 and 250 watter but since I was concerned with heat, I opted for the 150. I could have run a 250 with a cooltube but I really need more vertical space to make better use of it.
36"w x 20"d x 72"h but the vertical space where the plants are is only 48". Attached photo might make more sense.

Very nice. Love the stealth.
Thanks. I'm not sure how stealthy it actually is to the average joe. I would recognize it immediately. lol

keep posting cant wait to see what happens ! good luck
Will do. Thanks for your interest. bongsmilie

Damn, thats a good idea. For a micro operation like mine, a sample packet of nutes would last forever. Thanks again for the links. I'll have to shoot him an email. What's the worst that could happen?

I remember seeing a picture of your cab in another thread. It looks very well done. If I were to build another stealthy cab, I would shoot for those kind of dimensions and that design. +rep

Thanks. The cab has served me well but I wish it was just a little bit bigger. I've started hunting garage sales and craigslist for the perfect cab to mod.

** UPDATE - 10/16/09 **

Time for my weekly picture update. Here's whats going on...

I've got 3 confirmed females and one unknown probably a day or two from showing sex in my main cabinet on 12/12 since last Friday. One of my LST'ed plants is starting to flower.

In my veg cabinet, I'm still growing 2x AK47 AF sprouts (8 and 12 days old), an Afghan Kush Ryder sprout at 12 days, and a shotglass grow at 9 days. I've also cut a clone from the mother plant a few days ago and I am going to see if I can get it to root in distilled water for shits and giggles. I'm going to the hydro store tomorrow to pick up some rooting gel and rockwool cubes to do it right. Let's get on with the pictures...

Right before bedtime (front right still waiting on sex)

Hello everyone. I've been lurking for months just reading up and decided to build a cabinet and start some bagseed under a few CFLs about a month ago. Things got a little out of hand and here my setup...

Cabinet dimensions: 24"lx24"wx30"h
Lighting: 150w htgsupply HPS/ballast relocated to outside box
Ventilation: 90mm 80CFM computer case fan at light level, 3 3" passive intake holes
Temp: usually 5-8 degrees F warmer with cab closed
Humidity: CO is so f-ing dry...can't get it above 50% even with humidifier blowing right in
Odor Control: DIY 4" cone carbon filter
Soil: FFOF straight out of the bag
Nutes: Fox Farm lineup

And here's what I'm growing....
6x unknown bagseed from alright headies
1x Afghan Kush Ryder
1x AK47 x Lowryder
1x G13 White Widow
1x DNA sour cream in shot glass for shits and giggles (it was free from attitude)

Obviously, I don't really much room to work with vertically, so I have already started LSTing the bigger bagseed plants. I might try experimenting with FIM'ing on some of the plants as well. I see the bagseed as a learning experience, so I'll fuck around in order to get it right when I'm actually paying for the seeds.

The bigger bagseed plants are 26 days old in the pictures and the smaller ones are 20 days old. The autoflowers, ww, and shot glass are all sprouting from soil right now.

Please offer any feedback, criticism, or hate. I'll keep this thread updated as my ladies get bigger.

Here's the pictures:

plants dont look that good.. prly heat stress.

^Yeah, that was before I installed the second fan and they were still recovering from when I forgot to plug the fan back in and the temp got up to 108 degrees for a couple hours. They have perked up quite a bit in the two weeks since that picture was taken.

once they recover from the heat stress, they're gonna go crazy. if heat is an issue in the future, try some ghetto co2 release it'll help them handle it better.
and for the record the plants look good, heat stress is noticable tho. keep us posted man.

Thanks for your input again, PG. Apparently, my canopy temperatures were higher than I thought, so I backed them away from the bulb a little further. I think 6" is the sweet spot.

The two plants I fried a few weeks ago were transplanted into larger pots and they are almost twice as big as the plants in the smaller pots.

Oh, and my unknown sexed plant showed me his balls today, so I killed him and turned him into butter. So I ended up with 4 out of 6 bagseed being female.

damn, you are such a great situation for breeding, could you have kept the male alive? right now i'm looking for a healthy male so i can eventually cross trainwreck with p kush, then cross that with green crack. (i'll call it the purple crackhead train, lol) four chicks is still one sweet orgy, enjoy!

I could have kept it but I have a mother plant in my veg box that I am just going to take clones of. I could have kept the male but since it is unknown bagseed and my first grow, I didn't want to bother with all that. I'll breed when I have decent genetics like it sounds like you do. I would smoke purple crackhead train...sounds tasty.

** Weekly Update 10-23-09 **

OK guys, time for my weekly update. The bagseed has been in 12/12 for 12 days. I had to kill one of plants in the box because it hermed out on me. It was the one pictured last week already flowering. I think it was probably a combination of the heat stress and unstable genetics that contributed to the problem. I took the remaining two plants and transplanted them into some 7" square pots and added an automatic drip watering system. I just anticipate being out of town for the holidays for a few days at a time, so this will allow me not to worry about them drying out.

In the veg cabinet, I purchased some rockwool and rooting compound in order to clone correctly. I took 4 more cuttings on Sunday and am still waiting for them to root. I think I am going to try a "hempy bucket mini-sog" with the clones in the remaining area in my flowering cabinet. I want to try several different styles of growing to see what will be most effective. The Afghan Kush Ryder is starting to stink pretty badly and the Lowryder has started to take off and should show sex within a few days.

Please give me some feedback if you have any ideas for my grow to be better. Now on to the pictures...

gl buddy all looks well!
Thanks. I took a peek at your grow and you have some nice plants going. I'll read it when I've got more time.

lookin good man, the pup also :) . Ill be checkin in
O and where did you get you cab?
Thanks for checking out my grow! I got the cab at a thrift store for $15. It is a little small but perfect for a 150w, IMO.

Nice looking pup you've got in your avatar. Mine turns two on Halloween. Here's a couple pictures of him:
