hello everyone. how safe is this website?

hey everyone! so heres the story. i've always enjoyed smoking , and i've always enjoyed gardening. i would love to show you guys my project, but am concerned with my own personal safety, as i live in a state where growing marijuana is illegal. what are your thoughts on this? i don't want some feds knocking at my door and arresting me.

I am pretty sure this server is located in Canada. So it would be a lot of work for the US govt to get files from here. When in doubt use a proxy.

Ive been a member since 08 and never had any problems, just decided today to choose a new user name because like a dumbass back when I firast signed up I used a user name similar to my email addy name. One day I decided to type in my riu user name and there on google, were all my posts for anyone to read, lol... just make sure you use a discreet user name that way you wont get all paranoid like I did.....

Well if you are in the US i dont care what state you are in, federally it's still illegal.

Keep quiet about it to everyone you know, but here it's completely safe to brag and show off, cops can't prove shit for pictures. You could just say you pulled them off the Internet or photoshopped them.

We're all paranoid to an extent. So just be safe and don't do anything youre not comfortable with.

I think it's safe but my paranoria is keeping me from posting about new stuff. I need this website seeing as how i can't brag about it to friends, thats the worst part of growing mj. you have to hold in an awesome secret and lie to friends,them "where'd you get this? it's pretty good",me" yea, i know a guy who knows a guy, blah blah"
Remember too, these posts are here indefinately- your grandkids could look it up down the road. or your future wife, father in law, parole officer etc etc
On final note it wouldn't be a surprise to me if some P.D.'s look at these sites but really... don't they have bigger fish to fry?? just keep it vague "they're in a basement as opposed to they're in my basement. I think this place is awesome more knowledge then one can absorb. Good luck and happy growing

Another technical option along the lines of using a proxy, look into an anonymous VPN tunnel. There's some free ones out there with usage limits.

If I had a large grow in a non med state or otherwise illegal and large, I would hesitate to post pics or talk much on any site. There are many that do on this and other sites and they have been at it for years tho....

If you are just doing a personal grow, no narc is gonna care.

thank you soooo much for this post.. i'm sooo sick and tired of reading all of these people saying that they are growing legally.. BULLSHIT.. there is not one person on this site nor any other that grow legally.. it is still very against the federal laws to grow.. i just have to laugh to myself when i read all of them saying i'm a legal grower.. bs..

sorry to hijack the thread op, this site is as safe as any, just use some common sense when posting.. no pix of your self, no pix of your house or car or anything that can be traced back to you.. i don't post any pix of tatts, if i had any that is, but you get the idea..
and you can also look up how to remove any info on your photo's before posting them as well if you'd like to be super cautious.

Like RacerBoy said, just use common sense. I have a medical grow so I'm not worried. But I'm still not going to reveal too much about myself. I generally don't get into any conversations where someone is claiming to have a 100+ grow.

Feds only care if you exceed 100 plants, so yes I am 'legal' Federally, in that they will not go after me. There are lots of laws on the books not enforced, so practically speaking whatever it is, is legal. I am within my 6 plant limit, so yes I am 'legal' locally in that they will not prosecute.

Even locally in Cali., the law has the right to go after you on cultivation for 6 plants or whatever. The Dr. recommendation is just to give you a defense against them. They never go after people with 6 plants, ever. So on the books it is gray area at best, but in real terms, you are 'legal', cause nothing will ever happen.

Federally, you're still breaking the law. Locally, you might be legal.
You can't be any part of "legal" with cannabis cultivation in the US.
but you are right, the DEA isn gonna bust in your doors for growing some personal use medical grade.

although, it would definitely depend on what state you are in, anywhere near the bible belt, local law might bust in your doors for 6 plants...
I just had a buddy I knew that lived in Kentucky get narc'd on and he only had 3 plants at the time.
was growing around 20, but they busted in his doors.

He's moved to Colorado now... lol
