Leave the smaller one in the orange cup until the largest leaves reach the outside of the pot.
That means the roots have also "bottomed out" and the plant is ready to start growing horizontally.
If you leave her in the cup until a week after the leaves reach the side you will have much more growth
and a bushier plant. That's a good thing.

Good luck, BigSteve.

look fine ...

atlest a few weeks more of clean water before you schould consider to add nuts .. some Veg. nuts with a high Nitrogen and some K in it ..

if you have a grow shop near you get a small start kit for soil with veg/bloom nuts and maybe also some sugar for flowering and root power/starter .. can get some from GH or canna or Plagron for like 40-80$ ..

might also look in to stuff like Super thrive and Molasses .. do some research here .. it will pay off ..

Ya it's foil, nothing around here has anything else. I went to a hole in the wall hydroponic store but they had nothing, it was a waste of time. The fans are tad too powerful and they are on the lowest setting. I know my box is air tight because when my exhaust fan is on it spins my intake fan slowly even though my intake fan is off. So I am running It like that for now. If I have both fans on it keeps the box a tad too cold. I really need a thermometer to check it out. I have been watching the videos on this site and I love them!

What kind of lighting will you use when vegging/flowering? I recommend FoxFarm OceanForest soil. it's very rich and i've gone through entire vegging without adding any nutes (using LED though).

Using 4 cfl 100 watters right now with the reflective sheilds. Not sure What to use in flowering. Don't wanna break the bank.

yea you schould .. but not to worry ..

just grab them 4 6500K now .. and add em .. weed is a light loveing plant .. the more the better ..

and its also a myth that plant only use blue spectrum in veg and red/yellow in flowering ..
its use all kind of colors all grow .. just more blue in veg and more red/yellow in flowering .. so add all 8 in a nice hood with some good reflextion .. wont break your bank or power bill but will help the plant grow nice buds once in flowering .. as flowering demands mouch more light then in veg ..

also .. look for them camping matress or car window ice covers (boath silver once) at your local "walmart" can be used insted of Maylor ..

GrowBox9.jpg

sumthing like this will work nicely ..

so 4 Y-splits and 4 more CLFs in 6500K or 5000K and mix em up with the 2700K .. that can easily grow two small plants in to some smokeble ..

maybe even get a oz per plant (autos) if evrything els is spot on (I would grow autos in coco under a small CLF set up like that .. but thats just me)

remember with CLF your biggest problem is light penetration .. wont provide mouch light after 10 inch`s .. after 12" my light meter cant even get a reading .. need to be with in 2-8 inch`s to grow good buds .. so keep the plants low and bushy with many tops even and close to the light .. that the trick to grow ok smoke with only CLFs ..

Love your box, super concept! mind sharing what materials you used?

Nice setup. But foil creates hot spots, and reflects the light at odd angles. Consider getting black & white poly, like $16 on amazon. White reflects the light better and no hot spots.

I would use 6500k's for flowering because it's all about the spectrum of light. For vegging you'll be just fine, but you need more Red, orange, and yellow spectrum for flowering.

Thanks guys! The fan up top is a exhaust. the materials I am using is mdf, some 2x2's and two Honeywell turbo fans from homedepot 3 speeds. I cut the bottom 2x2 and the height 4x2. Then just put it all together. Sealed the door with weather stripping, sealed the sides of the box with caulking.
