Heating mat and germination

Hello all,

I have been germinating seeds using a small green house with a heat mat beneath it, under indirect sunlight, and once they pop, I would use my UV light.
Question is, they have been mostly growing in the direction of the mat (the heat), i guess they are assuming that the sun is where the heat is?

Clever little things plants. I guess if it's indirect light you likely have a uniform amount of light in the greenhouse. So they also must be getting as much of the plant as possible to the heat source too for survival. That's my best guess anyways
