With both types. Works fine but usually the oil ones is better at heating up (more kW). Though I use a flat one inside my grow area attached to the wall.

Edit. Added the flat one inside grow area cause of Ur exact problem. Had temp hitting as low as 11c.

Hi guys. Just discovered the temperature in my grow tent gets down to around 12°C (53 F) at night and I would like to change this and add a heater. Suggestions? These are the ones I’m considering, anyone have any experience with these?
Anything electric is going to kill your humidity.

Just get a heater and a inkbird temperature thing and a inkbird humidity thingy. Run the heater on LOW power. Set the humidity to desired level. Get one with knob operation.

I cant stress low power enough so I'm gonna repeat myself. LOW POWER. Knob operated. 18.88 home depot canada. Also make sure the humidifier is knob operated as well. Otherwise your inkbirds are useless

Just some input on the oil filled unit; the controls look to be all electronic. These will not usually turn on and off with a timer cutting power, they just stay off. That is why I choose this one to run outside my tent in a small room, it has toggle switches and will turn on with a timer. I have had this one for six years and it has served me well to warm the area when lights are out. Should be available in Canada as there are reviews from there.

I use an 80w tubular heater in my grow space on a timer to activate only during dark hours or I Run it constant when temps are really low outside.

I have external screened intakes that can be blocked off if the need arises.

my space is 7ft x 8ft x 3ft. Active growing area is 3x3.

keeps my temps above 65F when it’s cold outside.

Thanks. Any link available to a similar one to what you’re using?
