Heat stress

the top two buds on my plant have gone a bit yellow, and the lower buds seem to have overtaken them a bit.Im pretty sure they were too close to the light, and i guess it is heat stress. My question is if they will recover? It has been a couple of days since 'the incident'.
first pic is a stressed top bud. second is a lower bud which seems fine

wait to see if you get any new growth, if not I would clip away the effected area, I have had that happen to me, the singed bud blocked the rest of the kola from growing.

chill out Duke. I already had a decent answer to my question in the very first reply. Funny how it contained enough info for him to answer.

re-reading the post I see you said, you already have new growth that is overtaking the burnt part. you can catorgorize that as " Recovery". comprehenson skills were off, pardon me.removal is optional. the rule is any dead material gets thrown in the trash.

I'm having a similar issue to OP, the tops of the colas are looking a bit yellowish and unhealthy. The weird thing is that it started with the shortest plant first and has finally progressed to the tallest (about 5" difference). It's a 400W HPS lamp and it's about a a foot away from the top of the plant. Thoughts?

May have answered my own question. Searched and found on another forum that the consensus was 12"-18" because some plants are more/less heat tolerant than others.
