Heat issue help

I have a couple of small cabinet grows which I keep in an interior closest. I just got a 180w LED UFO to replace the 75w that I used in my largest cabinet, about 3.5x2. My temps are getting up to about 95f right now. I have great airflow but with the cabinets in a closet the air doesn't have anywhere to go quickly. I don't have any exhaust in the closet itself, only the 3 grow caninets. Any suggestions? I'd like to be easy and cheap. I'd prefer not to cut a hole in the floor or ceiling of the closest. I could add another exhaust to the cabinet, not sure it would help much though. Thanks for any help.

Do you keep the closet door open when the lights are on? I would think a small floor fan blowing cool outside air into the closet along the floor and another fan inside the closet blowing warm air out along the ceiling would be enough to cool down the LED.

Thank for the reply. I can't really do that. It's a stealth grow, but it's also a hallway closet. So for smell other reason I can't really do that. Anything else I'm not thinking of?

What size leds is your new ufo and what was your old one ?

1w led chips are better for keeping heat down but your new ufo could be 3w or 5w chips ?

The old light was a 75w, both use 3w chips. They are both made by apollo. The light is as high as it can go, unfortunately. I knew it would be hotter but didn't realize it would be this hot. The 75w put out hardly any heat and never got above 80f, normally.

Hmm could be ir or red chips or even warm white giving off the extra heat but it does depend on the design of the light

I`ve seen some homemade 100w leds with fans that seem to add almost no heat at all

and then I`ve seen a 40w smd style get so hot you can`t even touch it

Probably a badly matched driver leds combo

As long as you are NOT exhausting the hot air and just pushing it around with the fans, you are going to continue to have a heat issue.

i agree with edispilf ,you aren't acomplishing any thing ,do you have any pictures that we can maybe give you some ideas on what to do
