i heard this will make the plant not produce a good root system. so im on 18\6off

now with this should that bulb be shaded from plants like the light from that bulb not be shining on the plants or does it not matter.

I do 18/6. I have heard of some doing 24. To be honest, I do not know.

I am keeping my on 24 right now for the same reason, keeps it at 74-76F.
