Would just a heating mat do the trick? I'm anywhere between 58 and 62 degrees water temp throughout the day. Thanks in advance..I'm looking for suggestions on heaters for my dwc buckets?
Thanks I was but most say no chemicals, how do you think that translates when it comes to nutes?I'd look through aquarium heaters.
I've never used a heater with hydro. Chill yes. I used an aquarium chiller. Thanks I was but most say no chemicals, how do you think that translates when it comes to nutes?
Oh yes thank you, what is optimal water temp? My girls are beautiful by the way. Just worried I guess lolI've never used a heater with hydro. Chill yes. I used an aquarium chiller.
If you want to try an aquarium heater. Know, some folks raise salt water fish. The heater basically stays in a salt bath. Pretty much the same conditions as hydro fert solution.
I ran water temps at 67°-68°.Oh yes thank you, what is optimal water temp? My girls are beautiful by the way. Just worried I guess lol
Ok so im a bit low... thank you for your time..I ran water temps at 67°-68°.
I wouldn't recommend going below 65°. If you do, try it on middle to late veg. Early to late flower. Older plants can take lower temps then plants that are less then 6 nodes tall.Ok so im a bit low... thank you for your time..
Ya i use a heater from petsmart. Just make sure both salt and fresh water and depending how many gallons you need to heat you will need to get the adjustable temp ones because aquarium water is at 78. I throw 1 in each bucket at the bottom turned to 63 to account for bucket temp rise during lights on but then never goes below 63.I'm looking for suggestions on heaters for my dwc buckets?

Insulate the bucket. Or, next time. Make a DWC bucket out of an ice chest. The little pond pumps generates heat. Use it to your advantage.Thank you, I think I need to heat them then.

Thank you, I appreciate your response.I use heating mats under my reservoirs. I wrap the individual reservoirs in old blankets or pillows and tie it to them so they don't radiate heat out the sides. That'll get you through a lot of cold temps.
@Beehive has a dynamite idea about the cooler, and my reservoir with the pump runs several degrees warmer, all great advice.
So you use heating mats? The seed starter kind?Thank you, I appreciate your response.
