Except in reality, it is impossible for an entity which is funded and founded in coercion, to also be the entity which will protect people from coercion.
The best it could possibly do is offer this, "We might take your money with or without your consent and maybe, just maybe we'll make sure nobody else does that. "
Supreme Court justices purpose is often to find "new" ways to interpret the constitution to reduce liberty and expand their own power. Some day, maybe with or without your consent I will tell that story. Not today though.

Right up to the nineteenth century there was such a thing as indentured servitude, it applied to white people, and then brown people, before it was abolished. It essentially enslaved you for many years, in exchange for passage to the new world for instance, many of the white overseers of black slaves on the sugar islands were more or less slaves themselves! Gradually it became a way for slaves to gain freedom by purchasing it, until slavery was abolished in the British empire in the 1820s and the Royal Navy started intercepting outlaw slave ships to America.
There are better ways to exploit people than slavery though...
