Thanks C. The rest of Melanie's canopy is still producing pistils. Damn Sats :bigjoint::cuss: I will let her go as long as I can (some sats never finish), but her 2 clones will soon outgrow my 5ft tent

My partner is ordering today

Good work on the harvest.

When do the new 2 x4 panels arrive?

Trimmed a few more smallish colas (~ 7")

Running out of time to let Melanie finish as clone root systems are bursting out of the tote- sucking all the nutes out in 24 hours

The cube is something I have wanted to get made as an internal tent frame onto which stems can be tied and controlled. Bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Alas, not available online. I had to drive 22 miles out of my way to the only store that had it! The dowels are pretty flimsy, but the ball connectors are adaptable to stronger dowels. Retail is $19.99 but 20% off coupons are readily available

More branches harvested, trimmed and weighed

All are greater than 20gms with the one branch above the break, where I had to in order to keep some light on the other 2 plants weighing in at 2.7 ozs! (the first 3 pics)

Harvested/trimmed another ~ oz, probably another 5-6 wet ozs left

Clones are blowing up. I think it's the extra CaMg+, but I also increased ppms ~ 25%

Got an idea here- it has to do with using less grid juice. I have actually been thinking of this for my hi-end audio system (grid electric is filthy for audio/video) but damn we could use it too.

Basically all that is needed is

1. Appropriate AC/DC SINE WAVE converter
2. X number of capacitors
3. Marine battery

Compact Supercapacitors

Energized To 3,500 Farads! Now DCN supercapacitors offer capacitance up to an incredible 3,500 Farads with multiple lead styles. Custom packs offer higher ratings. Great for: battery pack alternatives, memory backup, battery/capacitor hybrids, energy harvesting.

I thought to do this a few days, but only got around to now.

I replaced one of the Quantum Flower Bulbs (2900K) with a Wave Point Coral Wave, which has a nice 730-760+ range

Thought I would post a few pics of Melanie. Holding out for the 23rd to harvest under 4th quarter waning moon under constellation Leo

Also,clone group shot + a close up of Melanie's 2 clones

Under this combination of 3000/5000K 90w ufos, inner nodal spacing is very tight

Most surprisingly, pistils/bud sites everywhere at ~ 330ppm. Keeping the daylight schedule too low (14 hours) triggered sexing on this sat dom strain

Anybody have knowledge about (or where to access) 411 on whether to bump Ca/Mg during early veg/clone as well as during flower?

My V+B has >10%, and though I'm happy, if this simple to do technique has merit, well, I'm in

Just need to know how much, when, and how long

Thanks

I noticed the last batch I had taken wanted a bit more Mg, took em up to almost 3ml/gal on Bot. CM+

I did do a "test," two clones CM+, two MagPro. I am sure the Mg was the deficiency I was battling- but about 2.5ml is where it was for both.

good luck and let me know.

EDIT: keep in mind though I got lazy and didn't mix any tap in with my RO.

First you have to start with a nutrient that was specifically formulated for our medicine- most are not, and therefor need substantial amending

HR V+B is formulated for us, but thinking a couple critical stage bumps might make it even better

Here's an interesting update

I put my plant in flush mode ~ 2 weeks ago. I dropped ppm from ~ 500 > ~ 200. Almost all pistils were red and dead

I then started adding a few drops of Himalayan Salt sol + ~ 60ppms of CaMg+. Now I have NEW pistils! WTF?

My take is: perhaps the combination of magnets + flooming over polished ornamental river rock creates chi that is allowing me to use much lower ppms.

That would be cool, though I do not use a lot of nutes anyway. I ramp up from 200 to ~ 800 than a one week bump to 1000-1100, then back down to flush

You should be able to see the new pistils in previous pics, and the lack thereof a bit further back

I've been using veg + bloom strictly for my veg room so far. Everything from clones to old moms. I found I need to run it at 900 ppm with ro to get them nice and healthy. Anytime I ran it lower I got yellowing and slow growth. At that strength clones and moms all grow healthy. Wonder why such a difference in ppm? Lighting? My 1 pound sample of the original formula is still going a year later...maybe the new version is stronger? I also run straight coco in veg...maybe it needs a higher ppm in coco

either way..it's never been easier to keep moms. Gonna have to try it in flower one day. Just have a hard time believing it could beat organics in flower

I am so glad I do pure organics... All that work I don't have to do ............ not knocking your methods. just resi's, ph, ppm's, flushing, etc.. for my garden that would be so much more work. I don't do any of that.. Transplanting takes the most time aside from trimming out of all my work.

I don't go by trichomes . Those can change back and forth through out the day. Sort of misleading imo. I watch the hairs recede into the calyx and wait for the calyx to swell. By that method, my plants went another 10 days than they would have went with scoping trichomes.. The quality was far better waiting longer.

lol You make it sound like a lot of work. Using V +B (one part dry formula) one doesn't need to pay that much attention to pH, although it will depend on the pH of the water you begin with

I heard that if you can get a pair of Al Bundy's sox you can make one hell of an organic tea
