If you are already a licensed or approved patient perhaps the opinions of the CMA or your provincial and federal College of Physicians and Surgeons are irrelevant. Ever really sat back and thought what it would be like if you didn't have a licence or approved document? If you didn't have a family doctor who understands? Sure you can sympathize with those unfortunate patients that aren't approved and don't know how to get approved, but lets be honest here, you are probably way more concerned with maintaining your grow rights and seeking to assure there are quality meds at affordable prices available from LPs.
You might perceive Licensed Producers or Health Canada as the enemies. Personally I think Health Canada is an enemy to our common cause. Health Canada's track record is pathetic. Thank god we have the Charter of Rights, and the court system in place to keep HC inline.
I believe everyone should be allowed to grow their own.
I believe that people who can't or don't want to grow their own should be able to buy quality, affordable marijuana from a variety of sources.
On the medical front I see the CMA and the opposing College of P&Ss as the real enemy.
If you can't get a doctor to approve you then you haven't even got to first base. You won't be complaining about not being able to grow, or the cost to buy, or irradiated issues, etc...Your issue will be simply, how the fuck do I get approved? Then you will start looking at what and where to buy or hopefully grow.
My son's doctors are great. One of the "team" doctors provided the authorization. My son holds an ATP. Marijuana is an essential drug for my son's care and quality of life. If we didn't get approval we would be forced into a criminal act.

My kid has gone through hell. Medical marijuana is helping him in so many ways. It is essential. I would break the law no question if he and I weren't licensed.
