Does anyone know whether these kind of buckets are thick and opaque enough to be UV resistant regardless of their color? The square buckets are better for rdwc design but what's the point if I end up fighting root rot because they only come in white and root rot proliferates in light colored buckets and only black colored HDPE buckets are truly UV resistant. My current rdwc is using translucent orange buckets and I'm thinking of upgrading just to black buckets though if I can get away with the thicker white square buckets that would be best. Would appreciate any wisdom and knowledge on the UV resistance issue with HDPE white buckets.
