I just remeasured it
Each side rack is 2 ft 6 in wide made with 2x4for frame and 1x4 for rack slots
The bottom shelf is 1o"from the floor, shelfs are 9.5" apart
I used 2 1/2 angle brackets to fasten her uptopwith 3" woodscrews
{each rack looks like a "U"shape}with the bottom of the U resting on the floor.
There is a 24" walkway in the middle
{1o} 2 x 6 x 1o
{1o} 2 x 4 x 8
The racks are 8ft apart and boards extend 1ft over racks
What strain are you going to work with?
How long wer you planning on vegin?

Im not sure how many i have in there, too lazy to count

6oo's could work but maybe only 1 1/2 feet of walking space inside? I have not read any feed back on using those, def interested though.
Are galaxys digi ballasts?

hey yea.... im just thinking about the power....with 3 600s i could easyly make 2 or even 3 of these side by side or in different rooms.. as for plants i have 200 little guys of peredise seeds sensi star...i have made a mini ones with this plant and they did very good..i will post some pics..thats for the info i will start building this this week... however what if i only did a 4 shelf system... with 600s..or yet how about a shit load of 400s and only a 3 shelf sytem as pictured..i have a ton of 400s...at least 5 i think im not even using and need to get rid of them.. or usithem,,,

I was kinda wondering about building a full size one, and using a a bunch of 400s, hang at two levels, and all the way across, use like 8 bulbs. I don't know might not make any differance, and use more power.

I like to keep things simple... 8 x 400 watt lights is the same as 3 x 1k. At that rate I think heat would be about the same... but I'm not sure. I'd rather use three lights because it simplifies everything. Less wiring, less bulbs to dodge... so on and so forth.

That's why I said it might not make any difference, I was only thinking of it from the light distribution aspect. Now another thought. I have one 1000w, if I made a stadium the same height as HBR's, how long do you think I can make the shelves for just 1 light, 3', 4'. I don't want to waste the time growing in too big of a set up for the amount of light I have. I may build a semi-circle around the light, like a collesium, but home made!

hey guys I am gona throw some pics up in a sec soon as batterys charge a bit,
But i am gona give the single bulb stadium a shot.
I have a 5 x 5 tent and i was thinkin 2shelf 3 per shelf
In bigger pots vegged longer.Im gona go with the concrete block route
for quikteardownability {sweet idea natural!}.Tomorow we flower private reserve og kush.You think i should use a 4oo hps or a 1ooow hps?Hbr

Lookin great HBR! love them growing horizontal, it always looks cool. Might almost be time for some lines to support them...? So what do you think on the single light stadium, I was thinking like 3 2gallon bags per shelf, 4 selves high, and making it into a semi circle, so I should be able to fit 3 full walls, (36 plants) and one partial wall (maybe another 8). Leaving enough room to walk in and water, unless I put it on a drip! Build it like 4 feet wide, and put the light in a cool tube in the middle. Basically a homemade collesium, with less sites!

Sounds like a great idea,4 shelfs will take 2ft min per side leaving verly little space to tend.Maybe 3 gal on 3shelfs...Will you use wood? im gona play around with some cinderblocks and see what i have to work with...

I was thinking about using wood, and making it pentagon shaped, 2x4 legs, 2x6 shelves, leave the bottom side of the pentagon open....or movable! I think i agree about 3 shelves, its gonna have plenty of room for plants, without over doing it. Possibly make it a bit wider, or maybe splitable for easy access. Not sure yet, i'm gonna do some drawings. If I can get this site to let me upload pics, i'll most some diagrams.

I pruned 5o% to 75%

Should fill up,and looks cleaner and is much eaiser to rotate now.

The side i used Busmaster on looks great, shorter with more flowersites per branch.

How long will you veg?

So get this HBR, I was reading this guys aero journal last night. His system, uses no medium at all, which means no disposal. Now I'm think about combining the two techniques. He used 4' square fence posts with net pots set into them. I could easily build supports to stack 4-5 rows almost straight up, and tilt the posts at like a 35% angle towards the light. 6 plants per post, 5 rows, with about 1'-1.5' between them.

Hope you don't mind be bouncin ideas off you, you seem to have the stadium thing down pretty well.

:joint::joint::joint::joint::joint:very nice indeed,i think a mix of stadium and aero could be wonderfull.
The only downside is the extra time for veg
I am gona build a ezcloner aero setup tomorow i think.
Have you seen the seamorebuds 3oo site aero setup? I think he gets 5 lbs per? light
Those with no veg in a stadium arangement would yield huge! Still have quik turnaround could be potentially the highest yielding set up,dang

LOL I know its a great idea. I wish that I could be the first person to try it, but I'm not ready to set up, and I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it. lol But I would think the combination you have to = big yield! Last night I figured out how to build one of the "cages" the collisieum company makes. Have you seen their system tehy call that, with the pillers that go up all around the res on the ground. Each piller holds like 8-10 plants I think. So how easy would it be to go to Lowes and get 4" PVC Y pipes, stack them 7-8 high. Run a 3/4 inch pipe up the inside of the piller, with an aero sprayer or 2 at each of the plant sites. Hook this whole thing on top of a res, and vwalla you have a "cage". So what do ya think? I want a job building grow systems for people, it would be great!!!

Dood i had this book new school cultivation by jeff mota i just lent my friend today that has detailed instructions on how to build one of those,{and a few other pvc vsog}He might be back this week if so i will send you the instructions if you are interested, they are pretty detailed.Add the sprayers and wahlah!!! Aero-cage! A job building setups would be very rewarding indeed!

looking good cant wait till mine looks that...well tomarrow is dday...wil lbe building it tomarrow..i have 175 plants that i cant keep anylonger in there tiny pots..soo now it comes... however i think im goona go with the blocks... i may do the wood however how do you have it suport the side walls if its in the middle of the room and cant go up to the top of the wall..?

and thunder... yea i have looked into that... those 4 inch y pieces are pricly...i was in a plumping supply storrr snf asked for 96 of those.... 8 sides stacked 12 high...the guy just looked at me..and was like wtf do you need those many... if i were to do it..i would go with the 3 inc pipes.. its alllot cheaper...and i would just do 3 inch rockwool in hyroton in net cuts..and have it all drip..well i need sleep ..ttyl
