Hay/chlorine smell

Ok first harvest and I had a solo cup that finished early harvested and and been curring for about a week or so in getting a nasty hay/chlorine smell and of course die to impatience I smoked a blunt which was the worst taste I've ever experienced is there anything I can do to get the taste and smell I want or is that batch doomed thanks in advance

Don't harvest early. Let cure longer , don't dry to fast , slow dry works better, should get a bit better in time with cure if buds are not too dry.
You monitoring temp humidity while drying?

Plants only "finish early" when they are stressed
Stressed plants lose taste

It may have dried to fast I'm a bit lost here dry to the touch but if I squeeze it then I smell the good smell
When I say finished early I mean it was planted a bit before the rest of my garden the temp is 79-81 degrees humidity is constant at 50%

I think a big question would be did it really finish early or did the OP chop early. I think more times than not people just chop plants down before they are done. It's like eating green bananas, sure it produced fruit and you can eat it but if you let it ripen properly it becomes a much better treat.

60degrees/60rh for drying and the same for curing. cool and not dry air is best. as for the hay smell you probably chopped a couple days early or dryed to quick

How long did you dry for?

Throw it in a jar with a couple fresh leaves
burp the jar once a day for week and check taste

Umm a week give or take a day but I waited hung it on a hanger in a cardboard box and close the box opened it like twice a day to get fresh air inside waiting till just before the snap of the branch then jarred it but wit ever burp it smelled worst sooooo I put it in a Macdonald bag to see wat that would do been like that since yesterday

Look your description makes it sound like you dried to quick
Putting little moisture back in and slow drying again is your only hope
So a brown grocery bag can slow drying but yours is already flash dried

Yea that's wat I'm thinking I'm not butthurt because like I said it was just one solo cup but i do need to figure this out because my garden is getting ready to be done and i cannot mess that up then I'll be hurt

Harvested too early. Jarred it too soon and nasties started growing. Just a couple reasons.

Will do now lastly of course I see I might have been hasty on the dry but something else had me thinking i use straight RO water and dry amendments of course I'm letting the food deplete to the end but I use cal mag every water at least 4 to 5 mils should I cut that as well or taper off so the non flusher dont flood the post

I never flush and run Nutrients till day of harvest
My weed makes Hydro taste like dung LOL

Just gonna rejar and take some fresh leaves off my others see wat happens I think I may need to invest more money and get the atmospherics in better condition

Its not that complicated
Just trust your nose
Foul smell open and dry more
grass smell drying to fast
