My guess is that it was caused by removing fan leaves(at all or incorrectly) and over watering. The fan leaf stems eventually fall off, and the branches seem to have problems from the area where the fan leaf attached. Nevertheless it seems common on a couple of plants and would like to prevent this in the future. Is there anything that can be avoided or done to improve this condition? Should I leave these branches or remove them in a certain way?

The Strain is White Russian
It is being grown outdoors in colder than average north american climate
The soil has poor drainage and is very thick/water retentive
Nutrients have been limited
4 Weeks into Flower

Did you tear the fan leafs off? Did they all fall off on their own? I have only seen scareing like that on my plants when I have broken off a branch. Or if I tore the outer skin of the main stock.

I clipped them with my fingers and may have affected the outer skin of the main stalk. While I don't remember tugging at the base much, its possible that I could have. Where the fan leaf was attached ended up looking sick on the stem. It began developing a little white, so I removed them(very easily, since they were "rotten", they just pushed off). The concern was that the dead fan leaf stem was creating an environment where sickness could threaten the main stem.

Could this ever happen from over watering and removing the fan leaf without tugging at the main stem?
What should I do if I happen to get a fan leaf or branch in this case not looking so well?

Dude! You have me at a loss. I can see all kinds of things going wrong. Some naturally and others from what your actions produced.

#1 do you have clipper fingers?? How the hell did you clip these fan leafs with your fingers? When fan leafs are ready to come off, they will fall off when you touch them. No need to go all X-men on us. :)
#2 What is wrong with the leafs?
#3 A picture of the whole plant could not hurt. All I see is an area of the main stock that looks like it was gang raped at 7 days old.
And so on, and so on.......

#1 ,finger nails for clippers
#2, there was nothing wrong originally, until i removed them once, the stem turned yellow to the base had a small white area and i removed that stub, what is remaining are in the pictures
#3 while you see the only affected areas, the rest of the plants are fine

Here is the fix then. It is pretty difficult. But I think you can handle it. STOP Fucking with your Plant!!!!!!!!

LOL

Made me laugh..

But man, if a fan leaf is gunna fall off let it on its own, dont fuck with the girls
Only fuck with her if you want a hermie.
