Have I started Flushing Too Early?

Hi all,

I'm at day 53 of 12/12, with my paradise white berry strain. I've slowly been building nutes up, and last night change res to start flush.

Have I started this too early? A lot of forums suggest a lot of strains pack on most of their weight in the last 10-14 days. Although this is advertised as a quick flowering 8-9 week strain.

Trichomes are clear/cloudy. 25% of the hairs are turning red. This is only my second grow in hydro and am hoping for a good return.

Any advice would be appreciated, and if there is anything I can do in the last few weeks to increase potency and yield.

Ta

I would not starve my plants during this crucial time. Why not leach the soil with just 4-5 days to go? Flush heavy with 5 days to go and don't water anymore. You will get some responses that say a proper flush is 14 days, but the more experienced growers are going to advise that you don't. Why starve the plants of resources at the crucial time, when it's building bud weight?

Those are some nice pictures. I see a lot of fresh material on the buds and not much trichomes on the leaves. The white berry is renowned for packing on trichomes after week 7. the pictures i have viewed of that strain show more mature buds and a lot of dusting on the sugar leaf. I personally would think about those plants spending another 7-10 days, maybe up to 14 under a lamp.

Here is some info on your strain...

Thats my worry. I dont know if I have taken nutes away at a vital time. Its not a big issue as I can add to my res and keep them going for a bit longer.

7-10 days with nutes, then another 5-10 flushing with plain water?

They smell awesome, really fruity. I just hope they crystal up a bit more...

yup as serapis said get back on that nute program ASAP also when flushing i would suggest adding liquid honey i do it and wish more ppl would least try it

Honey, thats interesting. Surely that would clog up my dripper system?

Would you go back onto full strength nutes?

This is a hydro grow...

Nutes where running at about 1400 ppm before flush. No sign of burn throughout grow.

I have been really impressed with this strain. Defo grow again...

my sour diesels run 10 weeks.....i started my flush at 81/2 weeks....my plants are almost exactly how you described urs and look similar in "ripeness"...one of my grow buddies is doing an experiment on flushing at diff times and numerous additives during flush....he finds that a 7-12 day flush produces the best for him....i always notices alot of my "frostiness" comes with the flush....makes them looked glistening:)...personally ill think u will be fine...just my opinion though....heres mine the day i started the flush...
ur plants look great btw...nice grow..

Hmm, that sour diesel looks delightful. The bud to leaf ratio is silly...

Looks like you only vegged that for a few weeks?

Thinking about this flush I reckon I will stay as I am. Its not cheap to fill a 50 litre res with full strength nutes. If it back fires, oh well. I will learn for next time.

Pure water for 2/3 weeks wont exactly hurt them will it?

thank you....yeah i know the leaf/bud ration is crazy....easy trim though..

i veg my cutts 2 weeks tops..usually more around 1 week

i think u will be fine for the remainder of bloom yellowin might start a lil faster....and like u said, now u know for next time if anything bad does happen..

i know what you mean about costly nutes...i have 3 30gl rezs myself...
