Well hey everyone, back at it again.

Specs are:

-2x4x5 grow tent
-600w dimmable MH/HPS
-Promix HP
-General Organics nutrient line
-6" exhaust, 4" intake from A/C

For seeds we have Peak Seeds BC Northern Berry and Kush Skunk. Currently I have 4 of each germinating. Seeds I have available for this grow are Sweet Skunk and Sweet Skunk x C99. I plan on popping 2 of each of those as well once the NB and KS are in veg to try and control height a bit as my grow space is limited in height.

I'm hoping for 4-6 females and if things play out just right, I may do a small pollen chuck to get my feet wet with making my own seeds.

Well, tomorrow I'll kill the old plants and clean out the tent as I've got a small thrips infestation.

EDIT: Oh! Almost forgot. Any and all input welcome!

Had many, many issues along the way. Spider mites and thrips. Finally catching up now. Way behind but got the bugs wiped out.

Many more weeks to go before I get them bushed out and the tops where I want them. Waiting on pre flowers to thin out the heard. Will likely keep a pollen donor or two. Hoping for at least 1 female out of the two sativas.

Got them bushed out just about where I want them. Time to start letting them reach for the lights now while I work a few others.

These pics are from the day before flip I believe. They've had just over 24hrs dark now and I'll be flipping the lights on in a couple hours.

Canopy is fairly even. Have been trying to keep the sativas a touch lower than the indicas. Will probably have to work them throughout the stretch.

The plant in the left corner sort of got away on me. Hoping she doesn't stretch too much.

Before flip I've got 4 confirmed girls. Hoping for a couple more. At this point I'm undecided about the pollen chuck as I'm just not seeing anything interesting. Appears both sativa are female though I'm unsure about the C99. I believe the taller lanky Kush Skunk is a male and possibly one of the NorthernBerry. I might just cross NBxNB and/or NBxKS if that's the case to have some outdoor beans next year.
I was really hoping my Kush leaning KS was a male but it doesn't appear so unfortunately. Has that very classic earthy, musky Kush with a hint of coffee beans that I've been searching for.

On another note, does anyone have anything constructive to say? I feel like I'm talking to brick wall here, lol!
If I can do anything better or different let me know!

It's not you man. The journals are not as popular as they used to be. That, and many folks that pop in to take a peek neither like nor comment. Don't take it personally. If you post updates a bit more often, it will probably draw a bit more attention to your grow.

For what it's worth, I think your grow looks fantastic! Right before you put the HPS in, your lush green plants look amazing!

Thanks my dude! I got way more feedback on my last journal so maybe I was expecting too much haha.

I had some issues and still do here and there but I'm learning more as I go.

Oh and digging your sog journal man. Going to be moving next year and I think I'm going to go more into that direction. This LST is nice but takes way too long to veg them out. On the other side of the coin taking care of +/- 16 plants in that tent would get old quick.

Every method has it's pros and cons, I suppose.

Right on that. I'll cross that bridge when it comes. Definitely going to the ditching the whole tent thing. Convenient but trying to tie things down and water in there is just a plain pain.
I hear ya. Tents are great but if you can control temps and smell without them, then no need. I'll be revisiting the non-hydro SOG stuff very soon...

Out of curiosity for anyone skimming by - I'm likely only going to be able to run an outdoor crop next year due to moving but we have a severely harsh climate.
Our season is only from first week of June to first week of Sept. With lots of rain in August all the way into Sept then turning into the odd snowfall around mid September until winter sets in mid October.
My question here is what would you recommend for early/fast flowering genetics? I'm trying to avoid autos as much as possible but I've got a few as freebies from my last order that I'll be testing out.
I'm planning on starting seedlings somewhere around the beginning of may and would like a harvest by end of August to first week of Sept.

Any options out there? Am I better off going with something like a hoop house or green house? Or light depping them? Any words from some of the more experienced outdoor growers in northern climates would be really appreciated!

Added a 4" passive intake from the rear of the tent. It's sucking in air from under our dresser. Should be fairly cool. Gonna look into trying to splice the 4" and 6" together and intake both from the window. I'll look At Canadian Tire sometime this week and see what they have. Worried once outside temps are -20 I'm gonna have a hard time keeping it warm lol.

Good morning everyone! Took some pics last night out of boredom. Some of the leaves aren't looking too good, I know. I definitely over fed a few waterings ago.

Just starting to snow about a half hour ago so I've got a pot of coffee on, some tunes going and the vape nice and hot. Time to do some house cleaning and studying since I don't feel like cutting exhaust pipe in the snow, lol!

It's gonna be a Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks and Colter Wall kinda day I think.

Stay lit everyone! :bigjoint:

Just starting to get good in there now. I know the HPS doesn't do them justice. Leaves are nice. Temps seem about as close to perfect as possible. Humidity is still an issue however.
