Hash Oil? ++REP

I just ground up about an ounce of trimmings and buds in a coffee grinder down to a powder and I put about 6 regular spoon fulls in a small mason jar with some everclear 98% drinkable alcohol. Just to kind of speed up the process can I put the mason jar in a pot of water still sealed at about 200 degrees or will I cause some gaseous effect and make the jar explode?

The jar would explode. I've never tried to make hash using Everclear, just Green Dragon. If you powdered your product and already doused it in Everclear, You can strain it and put it out to dry by now. It doesn't take very long to strip the plant matter of what you are looking for. Let us know how using Everclear to make hash oil turns out. Isopropyl Alc is like 1$-2$ whereas Everclear is 15$ for a small bottle.
