Has marijuana ruined your life

Marijuana certainly hasn't "ruined my life". But i have alot of trouble getting across boarders due to weed related legal issues. Also i have gotten bronchitis on multiple occasions due to excessive smoking.
Social situations can be awkward if you're really blasted on some heavy gear, and i work with the public and people are often offended just by the smell that constantly emanates off of me.
Having said that, i love weed, and it will take more than all that minor shit to make me quit her.

No.

I think we all know how I feel about this one, I've been pretty vocal on it.Mental addiction and physical addiction are two different things.I have neither.I recognize that marijuana could be mentally addictive for some folks. It gives a lot of pleasure and relaxation. But it is a sacred substance, not to be abused, to be used in moderation and with reverence. All you have to do is pay attention to your body, and how it is affected by a substance, and recognize when to back off.If you can't do that, as a responsible adult, then you're ruining it for the rest of us who can.(and this is not directed at you tckfui, but anyone who tries to say they are addicted to pot and can't stop.) Because all you're doing when you say that is lending creedence to the folks who are fighting this drug war against us.If a drug is being used as a crutch, or an escape(and we all use it to escape once in a while, but if you do it all the time)then you have bigger issues to worry about. If you're worried about tar, vaporize, if your worried about killing brain cells, don't breathe, because the carcinogens and toxins in the air will get you way before the weed does.If your life is ruined, that's not anyone's fault but your own, bottom line.Put the pipe down and go do something about it.Otherwise, light up and move on.:peace:
Pot has had an effect on my life because it is part of my life. It has in no way ruined it of course, but has shaped some of my decisions in life because of its prohibition.
Stoney, I reckon the main issue with pot is for people who use it medicinally in an illegal and volatile supply and demand market. I know that if i have to suddenly stop, I go through a few days of anxiety. However, the symptoms that I suffer through caffeine withdrawal are far worse. Severe headaches, and a general confusion. With cannabis 'withdrawal', I just get an uncomfortable feeling for a few days to a week. Personally, I consider this symptom more to do with worrying about when I can get my medication again, because I know that If I have to stop for longer than three weeks, the symptoms of my depression start to recur; lethargy, an inability to do things because I worry about other things that must be done and can't start on any one task etc.
Now, if I knew that supply will be limited I would be able to cut back and lower my dosage over a week and there would be no 'withdrawal' to speak of. But then, in a perfect world, I would have a continuous supply from my back paddock.
Having said that, cannabis withdrawals should not even be classed as a withdrawal syndrome. Perhaps the term would be better described as a hangover, or even a 'lack of supply syndrome'?

I too consider pot a drug to be revered and respected.

Codeine is a shocker. Even short term use will cause constipation among other things. In order for the body to process it efficiently you need to drink heaps of water. Plus, some 20% of caucasian people can't process it because they lack a particular enzyme that converts the codeine to an opiate. For these people, codeine just does not work as a pain reliever.

codeine just makes me projectile vomit. Sweet if I was putting out a small fire.
Or needed to lose weight :)

In the early 80's I spent a long time in hospital. They got me addiicted to Pethadine, then cut me off and replaced it with codeine tablets. A very bad time for me...anyway, after two weeks on codeine they had to...

...have you heard the term 'manual extraction' when it comes to your bowel?:o:shock:

I quit the docs morphine, oxy, basic pain management gulag.
Then I started MMJ.
Still in pain but laughing about it.
Still alive.
Longterm opiates slowly kill you.
A side effect PM docs neglect to mention.
MMJ has never killed.
On the bad days I have a couple pats of potent canna butter and just grin.
The grinning hurt at first but now I have grown accustomed to it.

I postedmy pros and cons in some thread recently. I smoke a lot and the cons for me are mostly social. I don't like to do things unless I can smoke up before after or during.

Beyond that weed is mostly positive in my life. I've never lost a job because of it but had some fun one's because of it. I worked at a ski resort for five years in maintenance we toked in the office with the manager.

I got busted once for posession. I did what they call a plea of obeyance and didn't get busted for a year so it was wiped off my record. I smoked the whole time they didn't test me. It cost me like 3,000 in the end but fuck it thats just money.

Ski resort job eh.. I worked at a top notch resort when I was younger, learned to ski well with a season pass, always great weed floating around the resort, and it was one of the funnest jobs ever.

I do have to have my weeds with me when I go anywhere. I really love going camping/fishing and smoking out next to the bon fire. I always have to have the stash or I would be miserable, or at least not as happy.

Working at a resort was definetly my favourite job ive ever had. You could toke in the morning and since your teaching kids they are so damn funny.

Went skiing with my brother last season. My equipment is so out of date. neon boots, neon dynastars, this equipment is right out of the 90's. Got to listen to all these rich kids dis. my skis all day, but I can haul ass a lot faster than them. Skiing went really commercial, lift tickets are outragous and all the tickets go to out of staters.

I supervised houskeeping staff for my pass. I would always catch one maid with the mirror down from the wall doing lines and such. We would always have access to top notch buds because everyone, I mean everyone, smoked. And it was super nice to ski on those stormy days that the sun comes out for only one hour to give you monster powder up to your goggles.

yeah the season pass was so great to have. We would go ride on our lunch that is the best possible way to break up a work day.

when i had a job that required me to go piss..i didnt smoke...i got in a little trouble with the law..that cost a few grand..i dont regret it though..i have found the older i get the less tolerant i have become of morons..idiots...crooks..ect.,,if it were not for marijuana it would not be inconcevable of me hitting someone in the head with a club..or to constantly be into a fight...there are people who are sooo stupid ..they deserve to have a broken nose...ive been to jail on several misdameanor fighting charges....i couldnt imagine how explosive my temper would be without marijuana ..it is best for me..and best for society if i stay stoned all the time..i am doing society i favor...i think...by staying stoned..LOL,,,its my story..i can tell it anyway i like...:)

I'm with you on the calming effects of the good herb max420. I have had customer service jobs that required me to talk to stupid people and try to resolve their problems. I would occasionally get people who would talk down to me and really try to get under my skin, if I wasn't stoned I would have blown up all over the place.

But getting back on topic, some people deal with pot better than others. I have met medical doctors who can keep their shit together when dealing with their habits, and there are people who do pot and are always getting arrested. The criminal aspect of pot is the biggest obstacle to living a good life, incarceration sucks.

but in the end, i don't regret it.
just learn from your mistakes.

i got fucked by cops last night, but it was completely my fault.
i stuck out like a sore thumb.
i was going 70 in a 35 with just under an 1/8th on me.

i got my car towed and went downtown.
