To all those who stated LED's aren't worth it, your DEAD WRONG. I've been researching relentlessly. And the technology is there! And the parts are AVAILABLE for purchase. It's Basic electronics 101 people to put these pannels together. Combined that with a little math and mesurments and BAM. NO ONE should over pay for one of these pre manufactured panels. There are many technical specifications to be aware of when searching for LED's. For example: Viewing angle. MCD Rating (Millicandella) . Is it Diffused, or clear? And Wavelength. And which wave lengths excite chlorophyll a & bthe most. However don't let it overwhelm you. I'm making my own PC cases Fully lined with LED'sfor micro gro projects. Anyone who would like information, or links i've found on parts or research, or have genereal questions, i'd be happy to help.

I was more than curious about LED arrays and discovered some very interesting and critical things about LED's.

Read it and decide for yourself. The post is a bit technical, just remember that sunlight is quite rich with broad-banded light... LED's provide light in 'spikes'.

The white LED's are a slight improved in bandwidth, but they are nowhere near broad enough across the entire light spectrum.
