There is a very good reason to support this technology and its called GLOBAL WARMING.....we all need to do our bit or...we're f--ked :finger:
We should support technology but Global Warming is not the correct reasoning. Global Warming is probably a Myth, In the 70's the were predicting the next Ice Age because of what we were doing to the environment. Then they are basing the global warming data on records that have only been recorded for less than 150 years. Compare 100 years worth of data to predict the outcome of the earth which is how many years old ? Once again Global Warming falls into the predicting the weather categeory, they can't predict that accurately right now, how are they going to predict it in 20 years ?

The answer to Global Warming is this ----> No one knows the correct answer.

I just added 4 27watt 6400k cfls and 4 13watt 2700k cfls to my setup. I finally noticed the difference between daylights and soft lights... much more noticeable when they are right next to each other. I'm still only using 212watt total for my setup though. scared of them electricty bills:( hopefully 4 of them daylights will help my plants grow faster

212 watts is about half of what your TV is using, so if you aren't worried about it, you should be fine.

I know exactly why LED's don't work, maybe with your infinite wisdom can let us all know why they are not the best choice to grow with. Of course you won't be able to because the only data you go by is the advertising for UFO lighting.

haha my comments on how the light work are from my own experience..which i actually have and u dont..
I guess that would make you wrong again.........

You want to make so many assumptions about me and you don't know me well enough to be doing such things.

LEDs suck. Plain and simple. To those that disagree, i'm sorry you bought into the gimmick, but don't let others get pulled in too. :)

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the posts make you think more people are buying LED than really are. When most people have to think for weeks before buying a $20 HPS light that works I just can't see them going out and dropping $600 on something that works marginally. I just can't see it happening.

Why do you guys go around claiming you are the only ones with data when the only data you have is what the advertising on the UFO light says. Please don't go making false claims about the knowledge of members on this board because there are some very bright people on here.
lol are u kidding me, did you even read my posts. I am one of the biggest advocates of LEDs and I ALWAYS share that my data shows they don't even come close to the 400 watts that a 400 watt HPS puts out. So how can you say I just repeat the info in the advertising. Did you even check my LED grows out? Obviosly not. The 90 watt UFO says it is equal to 400 watts, and its not, my tests show its equal to about 250-280 depending on the closeness to the plant. Which is 0ver 100 watta less than what the company says and they are stillw way more powerfull then HPS...90 watts equal to 250 is still a huge jump in performance. Plus no heat and barely any elecricity. The money savings is retatrded after just 2 years. LOL and please show me some of these so called bright people here, cause I haven't seen many. This forum has always been the most opinionated and far from helpful I ever been to. Hence why I teach on here and never learn, thats what the advanced forums are for. I am sure there are great growers here, but either I havent met many, or they stay quiet on this place.
