Has anyone tried growing in a Topsy Turvy?

I had purchased some Topsy Turvy containers at my local Big Lots last Fall for $1.00 ea. This Spring I planted a couple of Thai plants into the flower type of Topsy Turvy planters. It has a bigger soil capacity than the Tomato or Pepper ones. Although I knew both were female, sh!t happened. I have 1 girl growing. I use drip irrigation and daily hand watering. I fertilize her every other day with 1/2 strength Jack's 10-30-20 and a little bit of Epsom Salts for Magnesium. So, what does y'all think about her???

its impractical because MJ turns toward the light , so upside down pot, the plants gonna do a U-turn to face the sun. Can it be done, yes, but it wont benefit anything.

it's still bad ass looking!

I have yet to try it figured I would at some point try all of the odd growing methods just for kicks.

Last year I grew a 1foot bubba kush colla in 1/2 gal of dirt.. she was a beauty too..

i think thats a good idea. it probably diffuses hormones just like lst. the way its gotta turn toward the light. And doing some lst is better than doing no training at all.

i have thought about doing this before..but my concern was all the run off from the waterings and feedings would drain onto my buds.

It could work, but like mentioned, mj grows towards light, so if your growing outdoor it will grow in a pointless U, if indoor you would have to grow vert or have the lights on the ground :wall:

I do a 1/2 strength feed every other day. I collect the drainage and use it on another plant in ground.

I had 1 go male & when I cut it down it looked exactly like one of those bubble umbrellas or a chandelier!

I just topped her a few times then transplanted at about 9-10" She did the rest. She has full 360 coverage & spins in the breeze all day.
Thanks for the props!!!
