Has anyone seen this before?

Hey guys. Having trouble deciding whether or not to keep this plant. It is showing male and female traits on the same branch. They went into flowering a week ago. It is Dank Sinatra by Bodhi. In 35 gallons with a fresh topdressing of compost.

Keep it or not?

That photo was taken a couple days ago. Here is a new one today. You can still see the male flower and a female flower. The female flowers are developing. The male flower is not.

Not sure what that means but once I remember someone like @Mohican saying these plants are super males or something and are super potent. So I wanted to be sure before I killed it. The male and female flowers appeared at the same time btw.

It's a hermaphrodite, I'm sure the people here have seen it millions of times. Either the seed had hermie genetics or it got stressed to the point it wanted to cum all over itself

Thanks! I'll go pull it. Dang I finally got a female from Bodhi and it is a hermie.
 
It's a hermi because of the stress you caused...That branch is almost snapped completely!
Is Dank Sinatra really growing so tall that it needs super-cropping?

Some plants really don't like high stress training, I'd stick with clones you know can take the extreme stress of near decapitation.

I am doing LST and I only topped it because I figured that would help it stretch out. I can give you a better picture. I scrogg and LST. I usually don't top but the Dank Sinatra would not grow any shoots.

Can LST be considered high stress?

I'll keep that in mind next time I LST. None of the branches are snapped though. I learned my lesson with that when I snapped a branch off the last time I LSTed. Be gentle!

Last pic. Does he/she look stressed? And does my lst look to tight. I am always looking to improve my methods

It's all in the seed. When you get a good seed make sure you got a snip from her. This will save a lot of hassle in the future. Clones don't break as easy as seed plants either as the clone's stalk is not hollow as in a seed plant.

Ill take that as you saying to give her a chance. I'm going to let her go but if she puts off more balls I will cut her and then try her clone. maybe ill have better luck. Is that what your were saying?

If it is very few male flowers, I would just pluck them off and try her out. Unless you have other plants that you don't want to risk pollinating. If males keep showing up, chop her. Too much hassle for mediocre bud.

I can stress the hell out of my TGA plants and I have never had a herm. I supercrop, lst, top, chop, slap em around and sometimes break branches. Still stays the way a lady should be. Beautiful and dripping for her man... Oh yea, I also like my ladies WITHOUT balls. Yea, no balls... :-)

And I wouldn't bother cloning. You will have the same problems next time.
 
I see now...the other picture looked like a supercrop.
It looks great to me, you never know about seed-plants; sometimes the clones will be fully female.
You can pluck them + they usually don't return if they're just in the corners of the stalks.

Good Idea considering this strain has a report of slight hermi in the original seed, but never seen again once plucked + future clone generations were totally stable female.
Also turned out to be his favorite plant, So I wouldn't ditch it unless it's producing more than a few male sacs(pluck the few + watch close like previously mentioned)
 
I'd pluck the balls off and give it a shot.
Just make sure to remove them carefully and early so the pollen doesn't have a chance to spread. Might want to get a spray bottle that gives a fine mist action. Spray the ball, carefully pluck and it move to the next. As long as they don't pollinate the female buds you should be fine. Course, you might want to pollinate a bud just to have seeds for the future. Just my two cents.
 
Thanks for the advice! I plucked the balls most of the balls. I found 1 of the balls opened and it was sterile or didn't have any pollen inside, pulled it too. I'd say we are good to go. I heard dank sinatra was DANK so i'm excited!
