the Information for Health Care Professionals from HC? It is a fairly comprehensive document but something at the beginning of the document caught my attention.
After they tell you that although the format may look like a Drug Product Monograph there is no Notice of Compliance authorizing its sale in Canada.
Then there's another box with this printed inside
"Cannabis (marijuana, marihuana) is not an approved therapeutic substance in Canada and has not been issued a notice of compliance by Health Canada authorizing sale in Canada"
This seems wrong to me given the new rules about to be enforced. How can it not be considered an approved therapeutic substance when they're making doctors prescribe it? Is it only the notice that's missing? Am I missing something here? It's very confusing!
