The only way to do this outdoors is to cover the plants for a few hours each evening so they don't get more than 12 hrs of light per day.

how could anybody actually do this though? you would have to be at your grow site at the same time every day to cover and uncover it. Even if your growing outdoors at your home, how could you do this without missing even just a day?

the days are only 12 hours right now. i did it last year and harvested 1 1/2lb in may. OUTDOORS. no tarps or covers. just put them outside now and they will flower.

I am a lazy grower. I am waiting until May to put mine out. They will be about 2 month old then. Should have 4 ATF girls to put outside. Have to put chicken wire around the pots. Chickens love to hop up in there and scratch. They will go into 5 gallon pots.

it got below freezing for weeks, but 70's in the day. rained like a ...... had to wear knee high rubber boots to get thru my back yard. i built a little green house. make sure if you do this you have BIG fans. moisture is a major problem. the weather this year is perfect though. i watered once every 2 weeks and used almost NO nutes. buds are a little less of what a summer crop would be but it got me thru.

yes, that's a SNOWMAN. gathered it off the roof........

green house removed. april/may. if you look closely you will see fully flowered plants and early vegging plants together. there is a little baby all the way on the left. then a few others.

Actually put some plants that were looking crappy outside. They were in the flower room. Sort of forgot about them. Looked yesterday and they are doing great. Like fdd said time of year to flower. No need to cover them up. Going to finish them up inside as days get longer under 12/12.
