I had a plant or two die and after I gave up on healing them, I gently pulled them out of the soil and the roots were so small...so I went to my local hydro store, told them I want/need something to make my roots huge so I can get my foliage growing again, he recommended oregonism XL...
this stuff is a dark grey powder and used less than instructions, applied to 4 different holes dug near the root zone...the next morning at lights on I was HORRIFIED at what had become of my 4 plants, their foliage had wilted, and was COVERED in a dark GREY yuck, looked like fungus or mold..so for 20 bucks out of pocket, I lost my last 4 adult, almost ready to flower, plants.
I am calling/writing this company tomorrow!!!
Will attach pics of what this lovely product did for my ladies...and my hydro store has a "no refund" policy, I'm taking one of my dead girls there, too!!!Oregonism XL- and what it did to my plants..

I started using their master kit, but had alot of problems in veg. I included cal-mag so Im not sure where the issue was but it looked to be phosphorous deficient and didnt have enough nitrogen.

I was using this in coco, I switched back to my botanicare lineup for my mothers and they were almost instantly happier, and recovered after a couple of days.

I dont think Ill use anything else from this master pack, but maybe Ill give it to my friend who runs regular soil.

I'm currently in week 4 of veg. using there 5 mil. master feed schedule. No issues at all. The hole schedule tho including uprising grow/bloom and the big worm. I'll post some picts and details soon. Btw there uprising isn't avalible yet unless you call them and order it.

The xl also says you can water it in and it says that's whats (recommended). I've used it during transplant at the base of my roots right before transplant and sprinkled on top with the uprising and big worm. Nothing but great results!

Btw I would never pull my roots out of the soil. Imagine the stress you put on your plants. Seems like you had issues before using xl and then with shock you put them thru was to much. At that point I don't think god could have helped those plants.

My bad re read it I think you ment you pulled the ones that where already dead. Gotcha. Sorry. I still don't think it was the xl. There probably a great deal of details you are leaving out that led to the death of your plants.

I'm using the full roots organics line and schedule, plus dynagro protekt, g.o. cal mag, and hygrozyme, in roots organic potting soil, and couldn't be happier. My first try I used roots nutes in humboldt soil, and my white berry looked ok, but my purple kush looked like shit. After thinking about it, I scrapped everything and started fresh with roots soil... now they both look great.

Not a knock on humboldt soil; I actually really like it, but it has no nutes, and I was following the roots schedule to the t which factors in the nutes in the roots soil. The humboldt mix kicks ass with synthetics; I keep my mom in it with hydrodynamics motherplant nutes.

They include to use hygrozime with there master feed schedule. I also use g.o. cal mag at low doses because I use r.o. water and want to bring it back into the water. The uprising has cal-mag and pretty much everything else marijuana needs. There potting soil starts loosing some of that but, sprinkiling that uprising, big worm, and oragenism xl boost it right back!

That all looks like botyris infection.

It is possible you handled something else...could be anything out-doors, produce, anything that might carry a germ or spore.. prior to handling your plants, and infected them right from the roots....which you should never touch anyway...when you were messing around applying the Oregonism XL.

At first I thought that maybe the OXL boosted your ferts (via beneficals) and you over-nuted, but this is not possible because the OXL could never produce that many fungi and bacteria in just 24 hours.

O XL just provides benefical bacteria and fungi to the rootsphere. If the mold and fungus spread to the foliage, as it appears to have here, it would never happen so fast...or at all, really...those species of mold and fungi in the OXL need darkness, soil, and roots to grow and can't possible grow as fast as to populate and kill your plants overnight....on the leaves and foliage.

It is just not possible for soilborne packaged Mychorrizhea and other beneficals to attack your foliage overnight.

My guess is you brought something invisible from outdoors or somebody else's garden hitchhikinh on your hands or clothes when you were messing around with your plants.Probably botryis, maybe powdery mildew, or, some sort of fusarium wilt or fast blight.

Sorry, I'm thinking it's not the Oregonism that did this to your plants.

Always wash your hands and change your clothes from what you wore outside, kids, when you play with your girls!

I use a Oregonism XL with no ill effects. I used it per their instructions and brewed it then applied it at 2 tbsp per gallon there after. I have been fine for two weeks and plants are green and growing lovely.

I hope you figured it out because this is an old old thread but I was looking through it myself so I figured I’d go ahead and tell everyone that that’s classic russet mites right there. Russet mites.
