Ive been asking around about anyone using plasma or cool plasma grow lights, it doesnt seem like there available except on place I found online called "polar" something, but there for sure the wave of the future, the one light I saw that was for sale was like $13,000, so I think Im waiting for the price to drop, lol, we shall see in the future. Peace.

The aquarium lights are less than 1,000 dollars U.S. Some of these guys just might be interested in one. I'm a poor boy and will have to get one in 10 or 20 years from craigslist. Lol.

They should compare to a 600 watt hps...from what I've read, they put out 50,000 lumens at 280 watts and can be dimmed to 20 percent.

It will be awhile before plasma lights actually become a viable, cost-effective grow light, there not even easy to find, which is very odd when you type it into google and I find like one place that has one light and its thousands of dollars, but the fact that it has like 5-7times the amount of useable lumens without the huge energy consumption, well I cant wait until these babies are mainstream and were all growing bombers in half the time. Go, go Plasma...Peace!!!!

I'd love to try one out, and at that price, i might be able to pick one up sometime in the next couple months. Hmm...I wonder if they work well for flowering? (I should probably go read the article, huh?lol)

I have 1 mh 400 watt highbay and 3 hps high bays...they work great, but you don't really need the mh lamps. A couple fluorescent lights will give you the veg growth you need. I got my hps lamps for 15 dollars each.

Even the plasma tv replacement bulbs come close to costing 1,000 dollars. There's only a few growers who would be willing and able to pay that much for a lamp. I can't wait to see one in action though. It's going to be awesome to see.

Right now I use both. My first grow was in dirt because that's all I knew to use at the time. Their clones are in bubbleponics. I think my future grows will all be bubbleponics.
