I have a question. Do i have to cut the plant down. Im in a hydro setup so i was thinking of just drying the whole plant roots and all. Anyone think there would be a benefit in doing so?
hmm the roots main job is to provide the plant nutrients from the soil, but since it's being harvested they are not necessar, but if u really want to use them make a tiny amount of hash frm it
Ha ha ha dont make root hash plz, god knows what ull get. Hack the roots off but keep the leaves until 3 days (dont keep the leaves during the whole dry because of mold/fungus/bacterial/viral infections.
just chop it, discard the roots, manicure while it's still green and hang it to dry. nothing good in the roots, but you can keep the smaller leaves for hash making.
I know in soil it's a fucking mess..I don't really know about the hydro side of this, but I'm of the no roots thing as they might still hold some nute salts... IMO...as I said I've no hydro ex. but what good for the goose...etc.
I was told to pull up the plant, roots intact and hang accordingly. The plant then puts all its energy into trying to survive, this energy can only go to one place....the budds!
you were told wrong.
remove the roots, it will also slow the dry down and could cause you mould. most of anything good left should have been flushed out, right, you did flush. thats why we flush, to clear tyhat stuff out. not just the salts
Well i thought i was gonna harvest soon.. Im getting more new white hair and buds are swelling... 70 days flowering now and still not ready... ppm 1100 seem good? I kinda wanna boost it but i dont wanna burn em again..
there is usualoy 2 swells for the buds. the second signaling it`s almost ready.near the end you should be bringing it down anyways. i do just the last couplke feedings. or just stop nuting and staright water in a mabee a week or so. watch the trich`s,when they just start to get red is when i do my flush.
