Harvesting several strains from one tent

I am growing 3 different strains in one tent. I only have the one tent. two are fems and the third is an auto. im waiting to germ the auto to give the fems a couple of weeks so that I can try to chop them all the same day. I know this is risky but has anyone ever done this. If so does it really matter if I chop a little late or a little early depending on the other strains?
Whats the best ay to go about doing it? My problem is not having a second tent to dry. or a second scrubber for the smell which is my main issue.

Is growing an auto 12/12 with photo's going to lengthen flowering time or decrease yield? I've never grown auto's so not sure how it would work, but something to consider.

Dry in the tent in the space left after you chop. Just set a cardboard box on its side, put some string or hangers or whatever in near the top to hang your buds, and push/lean the open side up against the side of your tent, leaving some space so humidity doesn't build up. That's what I do in my perpetual cabinet, works great.

I did 4 photo plants - 2 of 1 strain and 1 each of other strains - plus 4 autos. 2 auto strains. One tent. Forget chopping same time. I partied the day the autos came out and only the 4 photos were left. Then one of the plants was a sativa dominant and needed another week. The light bill was a drag.

Lengthen flowering time is a no, that's usually determined by genetics.

Decrease yield, yes, probably. More light usually equates to more growth.

im sure it will decrease the yield of my autos. My photos are already growing. they are two weeks old today. My autos are still in route and im hoping to plant them in two weeks so that they run 30 days behind my photos and hoping that they will be ready in the same general time frame. I know.. its asking for a lot! lol but im going to try and put something together. Ill flip to 12/12 about a week or so after I get the autos going. But maybe the box inside the tent isn't a bad idea. just don't want to loose quality of the drying process.

This sounds like it might be worth a try!

Do note that I use shallow boxes, like you might pack a picture frame in, and only hang a single row of colas. A deep box with several rows might cause humidity to rise too high, I don't know.

Shallow boxes don't take up much space can line your whole tent, even if it is otherwise filled with plants...

do you have a pic to [post for reference. by shallow and one row of colas? how would I hang them up? and does the heat form the light dry em out quick?

I think it would end up decreasing my yield on the autos. That's why I'm growing a few of the one strain that I really want. I have a white widow fem, and dark angel fem, and the two autos sour diesel haze. looking forward to this harvest. Ive never successfully grown autos either! lol Not a big fan myself bc of the lower yields but I want to grow a sativa strain that would normally be a HUGE plant and only have a small tent to try and work it into the grow.

I chop by color of trichs.....only way to get the most (highest maturity/potency) out of your grow...get a 40X loop or magnify glass

the whole thing with curing is basically drying as slow as possible without mold

I hang mine with leaves and all (can even hang whole plant) for several days with all the leaves on (I live in desert with low humidity so can dry quickly)

doesn't have to be completely dark but dark as possible nice.....closet can work good on cloths hanger

after several days I trim mine (can trim before hanging and will dry quicker) and either leave for few more days or put in double paper bags (can still get at most grocery stores upon request) depending upon the outward feel of the bud....if a little dry and almost crunchy on just outside part then I will paper bag em....if still moist/wet...will leave

some go by if stem bends or snaps and I don't use that method due to low humidity here mine can dry too quick too easily

after 3-4 days in paper bags if crunchy dry feeling on outside then move to mason/canning jar and may have to leave lid off jar for day or so then when you put lid on you will notice that the moisture from deep in the bud as moistened the crunchy outer bud

burp the jar daily and early on leave lid off for hour more/less then after 3-4 days only unscrew lid for just minutes then replace daily....maybe twice daily early on

feel the bud for dryness/crunchy...if too crunchy/dry then leave lid on more....if too moist leave lid off more

just run some string or wire across the box, I have a second string below for smaller branches but I wouldn't do another row behind, one because I don't want the box to be deeper and take up more space in my tiny cab but also because if it's too deep the humidity might build up. When the box is pushed up against the spill tray there is still a couple inches of space between the door of the cab and the edge of the box.

takes about 14 days to dry in my cabinet

Never heard of anyone growing auto's on a 12/12, I imagine it's gonna destroy there yields but other then seeds what is there to lose? It's not like it'll hurt anything else.

wow ok I see. I'm hoping that they all finish together so I can chop one time. but I have 5 plants so not likely, I know.
Im thinking of getting a small 2x2x2 for drying and just hooking up a small fan to push the air into my grow tent for filter since I only have one scrubber.

I've grown all my autos on 12/12 (they were all freebies), the only option I had was to put them in the flowering tent, they grew fine and averaged about 3 ounces per plant

Actually im growing 2 white widows and a dark angel (not autos) the two autos I have are just some extra that I didn't expect to grow this run but its a haze and wanted to have some good sativa on deck. so I'm growing 2 autos in the front of my tent and wanted them to be small.

Also my light is on at night and I pull the autos out of the tent and put them in the window while they are small enough. Also im growing 5 plants in a small tent so I don't expect them to get very big but wanted variety. That's just the plan for THIS run.
