Harvesting question :

Hi Rollers, in the next week I'm ready to harvest, I've heard about leaving the plants in darkness for 24-48 hours so they become frosty? Is this true and are there any more benefits to this or negatives, or even is this just aload of B*****ks

Many thanks

i heard that the darkness makes the plants think they die and then they invest all der rest power to produce crystals.. but im not sure...

That's the theory. I think it's bullshit myself. Every study done has shown that thc and other cannabinoid levels increase fairly uniformly over the flowering period, so that any difference in the last 48-96 hours is going to make negligible difference to the potency of your end product.

A good dry and cure is much more important.

I call BS on it too. Just doesn't make sense. The 48 hour dark period to force flowering makes sense, but not for increasing trich production.

Curing, is the way you dry and age your bud, in order to bring out the taste and aromas. It won't increase potency, but its almost required if you want a nice enjoyable smoke.
