Post pics of full buds.

I go by the condition of the tricomes(clear, cloudy, amber) to gauge maturity.
Pics of the flower and some close ups of the nugs will help.

Just wondering how you determined that you're a week from finishing???
I'm assuming these are outdoor plants.

Google wasn't entirely wrong, they just weren't clear on what many meant.

If going solely by pistils, make a note when 80% have changed color and started to curl back into the buds, then wait 2 more weeks and chop. I'm guessing you have 3-4 weeks to go, a week or two for the pistils to change color then an additional couple weeks when they will swell internally and become more potent.

Yes you are weeks away. There is still sooo much swelling and maturing to happen. It would be like picking an apple too soon...

You will have to remember that up to 25% of the final bud weight happens in the last 2 weeks of flower. You want almost all the pistils to be brown and receding into the bud.

Welcome to RIU :bigjoint: When the pistils look ready it is time to start checking the trichomes on the buds, not the leaves, they are the second step in knowing when to harvest. Take a look at these to help you determine when to harvest. :peace:when to harvest by trichomes.pngTrichome ripeness.jpgtrichomes.png

To answer your question it's never precise. No pothead is gonna sit there and count pistils bc that's insane. Just eye ball it.
But I have to agree with everyone 2-3 weeks to go. You'll be happy you waited!
