Harvest Wet?

This is all very useful information. I am in the Deep South of Ontario, tobacco country, so it is much milder and temperate here (minus the odd tornado or two) so you can imagine my surprise when the leaves seemed to disappear overnight. I sent a picture of a few plants that I moved up onto my deck, but the ones in the field are looking quite battered from the wind and the rain; buds are all intact though.
I just don’t know when and if you are pulling my leg. A leaf blower was a newbie joke right? But I thought that the salad spinner was too so …?
Nope. Not pulling your leg. You don't have to blast them for an hour. Just shake them up for a second or two to get the water off. Picture a hair blower messing up long hair for a bit. Trichomes won't come off the flower. Look how they stick to your fingers. lol

I'd do it if I was harvesting in the rain, or even just after.

Look at this for water removal. I think it's a little much, but I doubt it hurts.

For clarity
The "hippy shake " is grasping the main stem as soon as it stops raining, kinda like a "salad spinner" and shake it !
The leaf blower has been a friend as well
It is a learning curve and many folks get it
I think the OP is on track

Good luck :bigjoint:

I’ve had to do this it works pretty good I guess. And once it revealed some rot I didn’t see but realized it when a couple buds flew across the yard lol
