Harvest Wet?

I'm in Eastern Ontario.
The finish line is strain dependent. I have some that finished already and are drying now, and some are only a week into budding (a kush) :(
I've harvested Swazi at the end of November. Freezing temperatures will hammer the fan leaves, but the buds can handle freezing temperatures with ease.

If you're that close to finish, I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it. Google "Extreme Defoliation" and you'll see some pretty aggressive fan leaf removal. If I have time, I completely defoliate a week or two before I harvest with only sugar leaves remaining.

As for the "wet" part, I've harvested in the pouring rain often. The trichomes keep the rain from hanging around for long. I little shake of the branch and it slides off. I'm always a little worried about my kush molding because the nugs are rock hard at harvest so I dry them a little faster than I should.

This is all very useful information. I am in the Deep South of Ontario, tobacco country, so it is much milder and temperate here (minus the odd tornado or two) so you can imagine my surprise when the leaves seemed to disappear overnight. I sent a picture of a few plants that I moved up onto my deck, but the ones in the field are looking quite battered from the wind and the rain; buds are all intact though.
I just don’t know when and if you are pulling my leg. A leaf blower was a newbie joke right? But I thought that the salad spinner was too so …?

No there both valid but I thought you planned on it actually being raining at harvest . If so blower won’t really work if not than yes but in that situation I’d just be the salad spinner and spin whole branches by hand using simple inertia

Wouldn’t a leaf blower actually danage the bud? You guys are absolutely freakin amazing!
Do you spin before, after or during a good toke?If so, does proud Mary keep on burning’?

Jorge Cervantes has a video on YouTube regarding a PM wash, Because the buds go through a wash, he also explains some great ways to dry those soaked buds before the drying process, so you can still get that good smoke. Never had to deal with wet buds myself (indoor grower) so I can’t say for sure, just an interesting video I came across during a PM issue months ago
Hope this helps some
