So you think I should flush for two weeks then ?I use biobizz. They advise to use no nutes the last week.
Its nothing to do with selling more product.
Its their own professional advice.
Which i trust over any anonymous noob posting on a weed forum. And from my own experience ,ive had weed crackle and pop ,that was unflushed and ive had weed smoke smooth as silk with a flush.
Im speaking from 12 years experience, and drying and curing has always been the same, which leads me to believe theres something to it, and why wouldnt there be when thats the advice given from the nute companies.
Only thing ill say is 1 week isnt enough. 2 weeks i think is right
When did you use the shooting powder for the last few weeks?oh yeah. me too! I usually have to double flush. Not my plants
I do use the shooting powder and have noticed a difference. It seems to give the flowers a good hard final push in late flower. Worth every penny
Check our Purrrrple's post on H&G he describes what each product does and if it is worth it. https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-official-house-and-garden-thread.194632/post-2505994Hi guys only three weeks left till harvest I’ve just started to use shooting powder just wondering if enyone has used it and will it make my cones double in size??
yes, as directed per their website. Weeks 6, 7 and 8 in an 8 week flowerWhen did you use the shooting powder for the last few weeks?
Flushing to me is a complete flush out of nutrients, like it was for you. Thank you for clearing that up. Its odd they don't just call it watering...One of the biggest issues with this topic is that “flushing” has had different meanings over the years and to different people.
When I started growing and reading about growing in ‘05 and when I got on this forum back in ‘08, flushing meant: running a volume of water roughly 3x the volume of the medium being used through it.
Now a days many growers have begun to call it “flushing” when they just use plain water the last few weeks. Which is a misnomer, what they are doing is just called watering......albeit without nutrients.
I suggest everyone do their own tests. I’ve done mine, with identical plants, under identical conditions. I never found any benefit to flushing plants by either definition.
The way I ran my system the last 10 years it was more work to flush plants then it was not to. And seeing no benefit after studying the process I never adopted it for long term use.
As has been mentioned the main keys to smooth clean burning smoke is in the dry and the cure. But I will also add that growing a healthy plant to full ripeness is also key to a good result.
That is true of any stage of the grow. Why you would deliberately do that at the end of flower is still a mystery to this noob.Maybe we arent on the same page about the term flushing.
I mean i just water for the last 2 weeks with no food. The plant survives easily for a week then slowly yellows out its leaves by which stage its done.

You dont seem to like others disagreeing with your opinions. So far you have called me a noob for saying that seeds crackle and pop, and now a troll for saying that starving a plant for 2 weeks causes leaves to yellow.F off troll.
If youve never smoked weed thats cracked and popped then ...you are a noob. Its not seeds. Its over ferted bud. Every seasoned smoker has came across it at one time or anotherYou dont seem to like others disagreeing with your opinions. So far you have called me a noob for saying that seeds crackle and pop, and now a troll for saying that starving a plant for 2 weeks causes leaves to yellow.
Who is the troll? Pretty positive i am correct on both statements
