Harvest time is here....security issues

Just a friendly reminder from Ohsogreen.....
.
Harvest time is here, so certain Security Issues need to be worked out ahead of time. If you plant to harvest from the great outdoors :

(1) Well thought out cover story.....(reason for being in the woods)

(2) Appropriate clothing....(hikers don't wear jogging suits)

(3) A backpack, small knife, shears or heavy duty scissors.....

(4) Big ass zip lock bags to contain the smell.....(I use gallon ones)

(5) Some bottled water...don't leave empties behind (fingerprints - proof of someones presence..a no..no)

(6) A new pair of shoes or boots (no wear on soles to ensure - no distinct footwear prints left behind - OJ missed this one)

(7) Reliable vehicle to leave the scene...... (dead batteries, expired license plates, burned out tail lights or an empty gas tank are...a no..no..)

(8) A route to your pad, that zig & zags a bit (check the rear view - if no one is behind - go home - not to a party - White Castles or the Liquor Store).

(9) When you arrive home, make sure the house is going to be empty (no trimming parties....someone always gets drunk - pockets some and conflicts can arise - you don't want the Cops showing up for a disturbance - while a pound of weed is sitting on the coffee table..)

(10) Like Ben Franklin said " If three people know a secret. It can only be kept if two of them are dead." Trust no one, don't tell your best friend, your girlfriend or brag to friends. Sooner of later, someone gets mad, don't load their gun for them.......

These are just some basic tips....think things through....be safe....be careful..... & enjoy the fruits of your labor.....

Keep it Real...Organic.....:weed:

Good tips Osho! I'm going for a long hike myself tomorrow, gonna be a day filled with the wonders if trimming. This is my first ever outdoor grow and I am VERY pleased! I'm using a large backpack lined with a heavy duty trash bag. You reminded me too I have to get gas.

think you're taking it to an extreme? Lol.
new shoes? Come on man.
fingerprints on water bottles?
tests for those are expensive, not something cops would spend on weed

Dusting for prints is cheap. I would prefer to be safe cause if I'm caught I'm looking at a long prison sentence. I actually put duct tape on the bottom of my boots so no prints are left. :peace:

What hes sayin isnt that they wouldnt take your fingerprints off the bottles but that you might leave your "fingerprint" in the woods just meaning a sign that human activity was there and gives them a reason to look harder. If they found the stalks all it would take is them actually running your real fingerprints through a computer and it puts you there. Just make it look like nature was the only thing passing thru, it keeps them from having to go out of there way to start problems.

No, no extremes...just common sense.... 700,000 + people arrested for simple possession last year. There is always some young Narco Cop, looking to bust a grower, and make a name for himself. Plus they love seizing your shit, cars, houses, money...your bigscreen TV.
.
I've got a bud doing time, right now, for growing over 100 plants (federal time). He left a cigarette pack at the scene, of his fully harvested patch. They took the time to process it, investigate him, search his pad, steal...oops..I mean seize his stuff and put him in jail. You can never be too careful.....
.
Or if you're feeling lucky...don't listen...Hell, what do I know - only 30 years under my belt and not one day in jail. Must be doing something right.
.
Keep it Real....cause bad things happen in Jail....

im stuck to growing indoors so it does apply to me but this is a great check list for the outdoor people. i'm going to find a spot somewhere thats nowhere and try a plot next season.

and no its not too extreme to take all precautions since this is illegal for most people.

cover your ass from all angles and maybe no one will know anyone was ever there.

happy harvest:leaf:

another thing to help cover yourself is if your going to sell any of your harvest, dont tell ANYONE that the supply is coming from you, tell them that your getting it through someone else.

Just wanted to report a safe return and a good harvest! I'm really tiered though been up since 4am. I'm gonna take a nap before I start trimming. :peace: Wishing everybody a safe harvest!

should be stickied. And you can NEVER be too safe. Especially with simple things like the water bottle and shoe prints.

NewGrowth.... I'm glad you made a stealth harvest. In and out like a Ninja. Yes, it's best to rest before trimming. Fewer bloody buds that way.
.
I'm about half way through my harvest. Been humping out big ass buds all day, man does my back hurt. :weed:
.
I took the week off from work, to go fishing, LOL... I think I'll hit the bong & crash myself.......

Lucky dog! Taking the week off! Yeah my back is still killing me I had to get the entire harvest out in one large pack so it was quite heavy on the way out. Climbing rocks did not help either! My buds are drying now, thanks for the kind words -NG

wow, if we had that kind of weather people would be doing it on a regular basis. seems like you guys have outdoor grows to a much larger scale, which is more plausible somewhere secluded. if only if only...
