Harvest question?

Hey RIU, I was wondering if I have waited too long to harvest, or if it is around the corner. I have been feeding her only water for the last few waterings, but I'm afraid I might not be able to flush her properly before its chopping time. She was planted on August 14, 2011. It has been 107 days since she was planted. That is 3 months and 15 days. I have included pictures of her, she is inside of a little grow box that's about 2 ft tall.

Please let me know :eyesmoke:

I wouldn't worry about not flushing it properly before you harvest. Especially since flushing before harvest is a myth.

Check trichomes with a scope 30x, well worth the $$$, especially your first couple rounds with that strain/plant

How many days of 12/12 has it been?

Can't tell if they are done or not, but they look over fertilized to me. Expect snap crackle and popping when you smoke it.

looks done to me...swollen calyxes...receding/browned pistils...only thing left to check is the trichs, but unless the camera is playing tricks the "hue" its giving off is amberish, which could be the lights+browning vegetation/pistils :D I'd chop that :)

I can gurantee she is not over fertilized. Here are pictures of her before. She just got all crispy like that out of no where.

I can't remember exactly when she went into 12/12 but it has definitely been 2 months or more.

I wouldnt say thats a myth. I would say you are half correct. When you are growing weed with synthetic salts(non organic) i would reccomend a flush just for the fact that everything mixed into your water is chemicals. Even if you cannot taste them when you smoke, they still do exist. You can usually taste a harshness in the weed if the person over fed alot with synthetic salts and didnt flush.
If your growing organic, thats when some ppl say there no need to flush. I still do
if it were a myth I believe non organic and organic sould taste the same, but in my experience Organic blows non organic out the water.....not in yeild but defff in taste

Oh I bet it will be an easy trim. Alot of the fan leaves fell off. Should I wait until I get a microscope? Radioshack is all sold out everywhere I went and I can't seem to find one anywhere. The only other thing I could do is order one online but I don't want to make this harvest late because I don't have a microscope. How much harm could it do if I harvested today?

I don't think it would grow much at all... I am going to try another radioshack soon and if I don't find one I will just chop it. Will post wet weight here! What do you guess she will yield dry? I'm going to guess a little more than a 1/2 oz.

Alright so I got a microscope and they were mostly cloudy and alot of amber trichomes too. I harvested it and trimmed it, and it is now hanging to dry for 5 days. It will then cure in qt. mason jars. The total wet weight was 66 grams. One cola already dropped 3 grams in weight just from hanging overnight.

be sure to keep an eye on your drying buds too, man! 5 days may be way too long...i chopped down a plant recently the smaller buds were jar-ready in 2 days, and everything was in jars by the end of the 3rd

Yes keep an eye on the buds. Where I live we all have a hard time getting a 4 day dry time. And that's using humidifiers. But that just depends on where you live. Don't play with the drying buds to much ether. Check weight when ready for cure. I check one bud big bud in the back of the room 1 in the middle and one in the front. Other then that I do not tuch them.

They are like that because I accidentally skipped a watering session, then she shriveled up like that. I can guarantee she was not over-fertilized because I have been feeding her the same since she started flowering, same measurements since veg. She used to look like this. Unless she suddenly got sensitive to the fert, then she may have been fried.

She has been drying for six days now. The stem doesn't snap all the way yet, some of it will snap, but then some strands will still be connected. I also tried the jaw test (where you bite down on the stem) to feel for the crack, and if I'm right, then she isn't ready. I am going to let her dry probably until day 10, which is 4 more days.
