Harvest Pre-Steps

Okay I have looked around this site endlessly and have been wondering what I really should do before the first harvest. There are 3 plants in 1 huge pot and as of next week only one will be cut before the others. The others will stay in for another week or two. Before I cut the plant :( what are some steps I should take. Throughout the plants entire lives I have never introduced nutrients, just really good soil and filtered water from my well at home (they look great by the way). I have heard things such as leave the lights off for 36 hours and then cut it down, cut down at 10 in the morning :-?, and so on. I would prefer only answers from those who have harvested indoors before. I am so excited as am sure most of you were on beginning your 1st harvest. Thank you and I look forward to hearing peoples' responses.

Obviously you and I took part in the same post, lol. No nutes huh? One thing I just started with my plants, prior to harvest was to start them on molasses.
It's all natural, so dont worry. The 10 am thing is true, but I plan on going by "looks". I know that throughout the day, my plants look slightly different, and around noon or so, they look like they are doing the best, thats when I will harvest.
You also may, depending on height and lighting, decide to harvest only the top 1/3 rd of the plant and continue to grow the remaining plant to let the lower buds mature more.

The timer for mine are 1pm-1am. Is there anything true to the turning lights off. I probably couldn't do that though because I am waiting longer for the two other plants.

Well, it sounds like you won't have anything to do to prepare for harvest. But you should harvest on the plants schedule, not yours. You should take them when they are ripe, and not before.

Are they ripe? :blsmoke:
