I'd rather have unhealthy clones covered in bugs and pm from a pheno I know is awesome than a really pretty healthy looking clone that's just a random untested pheno that could possibly hermie on me.

im not sure as you mentioned, if its the strain or more DHN.....Im gunna guess it was DHN that put out some shitty clones without flowering them out like u said. Ive seen a lot of good cherry pie grows on other sites....but yeah like i said, i have not seen a single cherry pie since i bought mine.....if you say they got a lot of complaints well there you go, i got the proof....at least they have the legit OGKB.......

i went in and when i was talking to the guys obviously the first thing they said was light leak, i stayed polite and let them know im a little passed that, and most likely all my other plants woulda hermed? the black guy told me he did hear a few things about the dhn cherry pies......1 of the white clone guys said he grew it and had no problems at all.....same clones he said....almost wonder if they were switching around clones behind the counters, selling clones they knew were bs and kept the good stuff for themselves....definitely possible.

also, i collected 10+ balls off the cherry pies....im gunna open up a couple and touch a few thin mint buds on my Day 16 girl.....see if anything happens

BSN Cherry pie available at Harborside Oak.....anybody know these people? never heard of them other than the supplement company lol

well ive had her about three times but all three times same cut but was amazing they had the most delicous sour cherry dill thing going on just awesome though

Thats shitty to hear. I have not grown it but a close friend puts out top notch pie and I have always wanted to do a run. Plus I'm done f'n around with GSC. Cherry Pie smokes way better in all categories to me, but hermies are no good as a grower. He never had or mentioned any problems. He got his cut last year but from harborside. Have hermies been going on since the strain came out or is it a stressed batch/bad provider?

Well it's the phenotype. I say it's DHN's fault because they should have flowered it out before handing it out for general consumption. Super irresponsible.

I think I'm pretty much done flowering out dispensary clones after this. I've got a nice genetics library full of awesome obscure strains. I think I'm going to give up chasing the trends and just stick with what I've already got. I always think the grass is going to be greener on the otherside, but it rarely ever is.

that's good to hear....did you happen to notice some cherry pie clones showed up at harborside? bsn? dunno who they are.

I pretty much gave up poppin fem beans off the tude and started getting into clones....sick of shitty unstable fem seed genetics. tried clones from dispensaries for the first time last year, every clone i bought in sacrament had pests or pm...ridiculous. Harborsides quality has held up, these cherry pies were the only hiccup so far, but i cant blame them...although some free clones would make me a happier customer!

I stopped buying fem seeds a while ago. I believe they are contaminating our gene pool.

Also, Cali clone only strains beat the shit out of anything Amsterdam has to offer. I don't need them. All the genetics I need are already right here in Cali. The only seeds I buy are for breeding purposes. Most of my good phenos I've got from massive scale commercial growers. Some I've got from crazy weed nerds who just love coming up with new strains. Others are older dispensary strains that have fallen out of style but I've held on to.

I have no problem buying clones with PM or bugs. All I care about is the phenotype. If buying an amazing pheno means buying some spidermites along with them, bring em on.

Harborside has a great selection, but they are unreliable as all hell. I'm also questioning whether or not these big name clone cutting nurseries are even selecting good genetics or they are just popping random seeds/buying random clones. Their clones sure do look pretty, but a lot of the final products are unimpressive.

my buddy growing some cherry pie. the girl get balls about 7-10 days into flower. He just pick off the balls rite when he notice it and gets good yield after finish.

haha, man. this is the one thing i have noticed.....the only breeders i have grown that have been worth it: cali connection and tga. all others are exactly what you said its ridiculous.....any cali clone i have grown out and smoked = 1000x danker, stickier, smellier, and better all around then everything from the seedbanks....

Im wishing i did this because a lot of people have been saying it throws out balls, with no pollen, and if you pick them off they never come back.....so i dunno. ive also talked to people growing it that have never seen balls on them.

my buddy got no problem and still working with that strain. just pick off them balls. You may want to try dutch master reverse. I used it before for nanners and work great.

Cali breeders. Cali Connection is super legit.

Those clone only strains are elite phenos. You'd have to pop 1k seeds to get something as good as most of our clone onlys.

The balls are normal and are sterile.. I know guys that run 50+ Cherry Pies at a time in beds and every run a few out of all will show their balls. Pick em off and keep on truckin.

@ Dan Kone.. Do you really believe you would have to pop 1k in seeds to find something as good as our clone onlys here in California? You lost all credibility with that statement. Fuck, every pack I pop I find phenos way better than most of our "elite" clone onlys. You really need to step outside the box bro.

i have not found a single strain from the amsterdam seedbanks that can compete with any of the cali genetics.....THseeds SAGE i would say if i had to pick one with my experience....other than that they just havent been able to compare...but everybody is different u know?

The cherry pie clones I got in the Sac area were great.....no balls and some of the best smoke I've had.

Fuck the Amsterdam breeders. I used to travel TO Amsterdam to buy my seeds back in the day. I used to go to Vancouver too and chill with the guys from Smoke N seeds. Back then they had the fire. Not so much nowadays. Check out other legit spots like the farm, cannacollective, and icmag to find the real breeders of today.
