Hello, thought id come and journal my current stealth cab grow of a freebie from Attitude - CH9's Blue Lemon Thai - Fem

Light for this grow - 135w blackstar LED - Plant should be proof that quality LEDs do work.
Medium - Equal parts mix Vermiculite, Perlite, Worm Castings in 2gal Superoots AirPot
Nutes - General Organics GO box @ "heavy feeding" doses
Germination process - watered medium then planted from seed in one inch layer of vermiculite, sprayed heavily with warm water and covered in plastic wrap. 100% success rate so far for me with this method
Vegetative stage - 28 days from seed
Flowering stage - 5 days in since lights switched to 12/12

As you can see from the pics there are light early signs of the plant wanting more nitrogen as shown in the new growth - issue has been corrected with a a heavier feeding - should see signs of improvement in the following days
I kept her a foot from LED halfway though veg to promote some slight stretching. The reason i did this is because the size of my cab, this plant consumes the entire inside. Having the plant stretch a bit more (in this instance) helps allow for better airflow as well as light distribution throughout the entire plant so when she begins to bud I can avoid bud rot often associated with buds being cramped together.
The community is invited to comment and follow along, all critique and questions welcome.
More updates to follow soon as progress in growth becomes more apparent.

Nice BLT! I grew one out from an Attitude freebee last year and was impressed enough to order a pack for this year. I posted a smoke report somewhere from last year if you are interested.

I also have some CH9 POW and blue skunk in the ground right now that are looking pretty healthy. Regardless of some of the BS posted on CH9 in the past, their genetics have served me pretty well so far.

Good luck!

Thanks alot for sharing the smoke report! I've personally never grown anything from CH9 because I apparently read some of those BS posts myself but after sprouting this bean and seeing how strong she's grown in the short amount of time and the fact that it was a freebie at that, im beyond happy. I can not wait to see those buds in their maturity i have a feeling they are going to be big and juicy as long as i have no other issues. Right now i'd recommend these seeds to just about anyone

No prob. The bottom line is no matter if a breeder is 100% perfect, you will always find someone who had a bad experience. My guess is a lot of these problems are self inflicted. There are a lot of variables associated with growing anything - many you cannot control

Earlier this spring CH9 had a special on their new Blue Skunk fem - $23 for a 10 pack of seeds so I grabbed one. So far, the blue skunk seems to be very robust outside so we'll have to see where it ends up.

Update for 7/30
Throwing up a few pics of the BLT
Im calling this day 6 of what i consider "true" flowering stage. The lime green in new growth is nearly gone since i up'd the nutrients and have been adding more molasses into the feeding water
Dimensions are 26" by 26" - had to tie it up at the base to pull some of the branches towards the center to help keep them from falling over once the buds get heavier.
Not a single sign of any deficiencies so far, all the color from top to base is uniform and the leaves have that perfect green hue most of us look for.
This plant should be a testament that LEDs do indeed work

Subbed. Very curious to see how the chinese/rebranded chinese cheap LED panel will perform in flowering. LEDs def work, although they are expensive, since quality diodes are expensive.

regardless if these Blackstar LED's are chinese made or not (pretty much ALL electronics are made in China btw) it is definitely not a cheap knock off, these are 3w CREE led's and they do work. This isn't even close to my first grown with this light, ive been using this one particular LED for over 3 years and it consistantly grows nice big flowers. I would'nt keep using it if it did'nt produce.
This is one bud at 3 month cure from a 60 day wonder autoflower I chopped in March. Which was true to its name, 60 days from seed it was ready to go.

about to switch to blue planet nutrients line, anyone had any experience with them? The owner tells me he will give me a 100% money back guarantee if I don't feel these are the best nutes i've ever used. Even made the bold statement that once I tried them i'd never go with anything else..

been looking deeper into the blue planet line and everyone who i've read info from who's used them absolutely loves the results and says they previously used fox farms and advanced nutrients and the likes and thinks blue planet's nutes are superior. Going to give them a try for sure

small update - Well I have'nt used BPN's line of nutes yet but if their shipping is any indication of their product then WOW...I ordered from them around 4:30pm yesterday, and tracking number says they will be here tomorrow! Pretty impressive as far as im concerned since he's almost 2000 miles away from me

nice plant! i am very happy i found this thread cause i have the same led and my first grow didn't turn out so good ,i pulled an oz from 2 plants, the led i think is working though,i am very interested to see how this turns out! You said that half of veg time was a foot above the plant, isn't that a bit close? i contacted Gotham and they told me to use it 10-14" for flowering and 14-18" for veg

Not even close, 12" away is pretty far especially for this LED, and i only did that to get a little stretch out of her so light and air would move more freely through it in my smaller box. Right now it about 3" from the top, and the only reason i keep it that far is because if im any closer the cola blocks out some of the light for the rest of the plant. Once a plant is large enough with this particular LED you can get really close without worrying about any light burn.

trimmed 4 lower branches that were only going to take away from the ones that are in ful production to allow a little more light and air flow to the rest of the plant. Also gave my first feeding with the BluePlanet nutes today, interested to see if their are any results in a few days. As long as theres no burns ill be happy though

UPDATE - Day 22 Flower
Flushed about 5 days ago, fed the blue planet nutrients 3 part today. This is her 3rd feeding since I switched to BPN. Shes taking it very well. Im going to guesstimate that she has about 5-6 weeks left to go at this point. Those bud sites should begin fattening up nicely in the next 3-4 weeks.

How'd this grow turn out? looks awesome!
Its still going :) cable to my camera went bad so I have'nt been able to update any pics lately but shes in week 5 right now, about 3 more to go for this strain. Most of the buds have'nt gotten as big as i'd of liked but then again its not over yet either. However the cola has plumped up substantially and is literally hard as a rock which im very pleased with
