Hanging on by a thread

I have a nice cola that's hanging on by a thread. It broke a while ago and i tied it to a dowel. See the pictures. Should i just take this off now, since it's so thinly connected since i've a while of flowering left.

May as well keep it on until leaf necrosis kicks in, watch for mold and it can't hurt.

it's hard to tell, but the split has already wooded and is dry. I know they're resilient plants... it can't hurt...

Or cover it with some nice moist soil. Like you would be air layering it. Might just get you through finishing. Or you can root it, cut it, clone it, re-veg it.
