Start off at 24" for seedlings lower to 20" after they are about a week old. They say full spectrum so they will be ok from seed to harvest, however, you may want to invest in some quantum boards after your first grow as these purples are not great

I would start at 24". Those lights should be fine all the way through. Personally, I'm a fan of HLG, but work with what you have. You can always upgrade as you go. The nice thing about that brand of Blurple's is you can turn off the red and have just blue light. So you can shut off the red for pics and then everyone won't yell at you about the purple light, lol. I'm rooting for ya man.

I just bought it as a lightning deal on amazon to get me going.(Just trying to start cheap until i can get seasoned) They sent me a free one because they sent me a bad monitor. So i have 2 now.
I plan to upgrade to quantum boards when i get the extra cash. Just want to know if maybe these will last me through a harvest, or two.
Okay, great, Im new to indoor growing so, thanks for the help, I’ve started off right it seems then.
This 600 actually only pulls like 130 watts with both switches on.

Run them both switches on ( all the way thru grow ) to maximize the light you can squeeze out of them.
Will do. I thought both at once might be to much light. I’m adding the second one tomorrow. I have noticed slow growth, but i think that might be from the temp being on the cool side (65-68 and crappy soil.

$50 LED, Good luck buddy.
Lol appreciate it. If I’d of thought it more through I’d of just got the mars 600 quantum just trying to save them extra $30. Realistically i paid $25 a piece for these so. If i can get 1 decent harvest, I’m happy.

Have a 3x3x6 tent.
2 of these 600 watt LEDS.
What hanging distance for veg?
And will these be suitable through harvest?
run em both at full power- they dont have much power and lie about the watts. They should veg OK. Lights along with genetics are key points in indoor growing, do a HEAP of research before buying ur next light and take into consideration your grow environment. What works for one person may not work as well for you and vice versa.

GL and welcome to the game.

Yea. I’ve done a lot of research. Still have to be within a budget. Im down to mars hydro tsw 2000 or something similar, within that price range. 250-400 really. I’ve looked at many grows in a 3x3 with it, and it seems to do the job well. I had a bag seed of some purple punch, it popped within 24 hours.
67 degrees is my only problem as of now, i might have to get a small space heater, having some slow growth on my other random bag seed.
Thanks for the luck

if u going to go a mars then dont pay for one. They are always giving them away to anyone who will spruik their product. (which is why there are so many mars threads.) Send them an email [email protected] or send a PM to @MarsHydrofactory.
Personally id beg, borrow or steal the money and get something a little more productive. If u can join two wires together LED kits are worth looking into. My normal environment is a little cool for LED.

I tried emailing them and telling them I’d give a review of their product and do a series of grows with it. Never responded back to me. Anything you suggest? I could build one of i need to.

The prices of genuine, Horticulture Lighting Group DIY components, have them as the current leader (pun intended) in value available.
The V1 boards are rock bottom. $49 each with heatsink.
How many of those for a 3x3? And does that include the wiring and ballast?

$49 is board and sink only for V1. The V1 135W DIY kit, is $120, everything needed to build a light. The one I just put together is smothering a 2x2 tent in photons. Two of those in a 3x3 would be plenty, I believe.
As far as building goes, anytime it gets around $1 per watt it's pretty hard to improve, if we're considering quality components, which these are.
