Hanging distance?

Do you all use recommended distance and power from the manufacturer or use a PAR meter? The chart provided seems way too conservative. I can run the light a lot lower and/or turn up the power and be within safe PAR numbers.

Hi mate I had a similar experience and run LED’s and go off PAR numbers and I’ve never had any issues

the closer the better just no too close push the envelope your plant will tell you right away if it is too close

A reputable light company should know and tell you what distance works best for different stages of growth. But, many light company simply aren't gardeners. A PAR meter is still very valuable to use in your grow room setup.

I’m using my PAR meter and ignoring the recommended chart. All the plants look healthy and no signs of heat stress.

Thanks for the advice so far. Having only one completed grow done, I still second guess myself on everything.
