Halogen Lights HELP

Ok so all my equipment has been "confiscated" from me and i need to wait until i get payed in two weeks to re-supply my stuff. But for now I need to know if i can finish growing these other plants that i started a week ago. Ok so i looked in my basement/storage and found a halogen 500w tripod stand(1000w it has x2 bulbs) T3. Are these any good for growing for the rest of the time... or what?? I have rent/bills to pay so i dont want to waste all my money on just grow stuff. Any help/advice is appreciated but this is what I need to use for now just wanting to see if they are good.

Well being Grandpa, I have grown so weed with some light bulbs in the 60's that people would laugh at today!

First you need to do some research on the bulbs you have. Check on the bulb for a name and See if you can find the light spectrum on them from the manufacturer and go from there. I'd say yes but you don't want to burn your plants up with the wrong mix of color's.

Your correct I do have a hard time reading the small print !
But I wanted to see what kind of light it really is. Come on! They may not be halogens! Who knows with new folks. How many times do they start with one thing and it changes? If they are halogens no he can not use them.
