Governor Walker's anti-union bill was struck down. The state senate violated the open-meetings law by failing to provide 24 hours’ notice of a legislative meeting — in this case, the conference committee meeting that forwarded the bill to the full senate.

Taken from here.

Yes it is on both counts. The sad thing is that the Democratic Party did nothing to back the people on this and the Unions are now pulling federal funding and focusing on local elections. The Dems fucked up.

Nothing new about the dems fucking up. They should have won in both 2000 and 2004, in fact they did. Just didn't have te balls to prove it.

Smart move on the part of the Unions. Bolstering the party at the local and state level is top priority right now. A lot has to be done to reverse all the damage done by the Tea Bagger invasion.

Florida harvesting in the summer - help please

My plants will be ready for harvest in a few weeks. When I harvest during the winter the weather is perfect for harvesting and drying. Unfortunately, the weather during summer is everything not wanted with high heat and humidity.

Because I cannot bring the plants in the air conditioning I will have to try to dry outside. After the drying phase I will put them in jars and can then bring them inside.

Does anyone have experience with drying under these conditions?

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Still Water runs deep.

Lets see what the Oracle has to say.

Q: Will collective bargaining survive?
A:

Cast Hexagram:

28 - Twenty-Eight
Ta Kuo / Critical Mass

The Flood rises above the tallest Tree:
Amidst a rising tide of human folly, the Superior Person retires to higher ground, renouncing his world without looking back.

Any direction is better than where you now stand.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

Several high-priority concerns demand immediate attention.
All are crucial.
None will be denied.
Yet some demand the denial of others.
Like two atoms seeking to occupy the same space, these irresistible forces and immovable objects threaten to ignite a cataclysm that could irreversibly alter your world.
This is no time for fatal heroics.
You are at Ground Point Zero.
Remove yourself from this situation without delay.
Find sanctuary.
Later you may deal with these concerns on your own terms, from a position of strength.
My Comments : It looks like we have to have a long term plan.

The Oracle is saying we are beat for now. That the war on workers rights is more important to those against more rights for workers than who is president.
We will not win today but as the "Flood" subsides we can rebuild but it will be a different "landscape."

Remember for there to be wealthy there has to be poor because resources are finite. Low labor costs are a resource more precious than gold and we are seeing that the war is on against Unions and collective bargaining.

I'm sure you've never heard of a ha'at'aathłii, a hand trembler, an eagle caller or a crystal gazer. Everyone learns. No need for snippy responses.

Why are you acting like I'm out to get you?

You are not important to me. Honestly I don't even think about you if I am not reading a post by you.

Relax..
