Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of setting up a grow and I've done a few successful ones in the past using hydroponic ebb and flow with 12 buckets before,
but it's been a long time and well a lots changed since then.
With that being said I've been reading alot on cfl grows and have followed a few people in those threads so idk if that means those people can see when I post or not but hopefully I get some responses back.

Even though I'm finding that I'm spending most of my days lately just reading and searching for information about my newest hobby It seems as though the more I read the more and more questions I have.
So with that being said I decided to go with cfls
because I will be growing in my attic and it gets pretty warm up there usually 20 degrees warmer than the outdoor temp and it's not even summer yet.

So I'm definitely worried about heat being a problem and probably humidity as well so i ended up getting a 8000 btu portable ac unit that i duct taped a sturdy box over where the cold air comes out making sure it doesnt leak any and ran it into the tent via an ducting hole on the bottom of the tent.

(I'm thinking I should have done this through the top now but I'm hoping that through the bottom it will keep my bucket temps where they need to be)

So it got to be a little confusing for me trying to piece everything together individually to order online (not alot of options where i live)
so I went with this kit that I'm hoping to be able to veg 3 plants in

I also will have 1

I will be growing in 3 of these

Ok so tents up and I have the led light set to 18 and 6
(I broke the cfl light while screwing it in so gonna be awhile until a replacement gets here lol)

But I have th AC set too 72f and it has the tent at 70.7 (is this too low I would like to stay on the cooler side of things because I'm worried about temps in my buckets getting too hot, also I hear there are some benefits to it as well)

So I also set up the buckets as well
I used 3 gallons of Brita filtered tap water each

along with 9 ml each of botonicare "kind" base and grow nutrients (that's what's recommended on the bottlefor seedling/cuttings)

And ph down and got it too where the ph was 5.8 and ppm was 600 and then put them in the tent.

I let them sit over night and when I checked them temps in the buckets were all 60
Ph tho was another story lol

1st bucket numbers were 7.5 ph and ppm 471

2nd was 8.4 ph and ppm 417

3rd was 7.2 ph and ppm

So not so sure why it's like this maybe because of the temp issues I had trying to get right in the tent?

Idk but I figured if it rose that much maybe if I started with a lower ph maybe it would rise and stay around 6 lol so added ph down to get all buckets to 5 and will see what happens then.
Oh and btw I have no plants or anything except well rinsed hydroton in the baskets and water is filled to just above the bottom of those

Okay so long overdue update

Basically I was using full strength nutes and well i let the water in my bucket run too low
like it was almost empty and I was 23 days into flower and it looked like the 1st pic below.
I freaked and basically filled the bucket with just plain tap water. This was 1 of the main tops (1st pic)
but the lower branches didn't seem to have that much of it
(I'm assuming because most of the nutes were being taken by the main tops).

Anyhow it had a sweet hay smell as well and it didn't seem to be growing anymore even the parts that didn't appear that affected by my negligence didn't appear to be growing either.

So I basically trimmed off most of the dead stuff trying to leave as much green as possible. (2nd pic)
I waited until the leaves didnt seem to be dying so much
(about 2 weeks of plain water)
i figured since there was nute burn already the plain water would just receive nutes from the roots and it would be fine with just the little bit of nutes from there.

So a couple days ago I started giving it nutes again and now it's starting to get its scent back atleast
(no more sweet hay smell )

The next 2 pics are from today still looks the same size too me but as I said no more sweet hay smell.

Well just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what I can expect in the future of this girls life she is on day 37 of flower now this happened on day 23.

The last 3 pics are of another sour blueberry that started flowering a week after the damaged girl
thanks in advance and hopefully someone responds here
