H2o2 or Aquashield????

Whats the big difference between Aquashield and H2o2?

They both are supposed to clean the nasties from your res correct?

I got some H2o2, but I'm wondering if I SHOULD have gotten some aquashield.. Any tips really help!!

I use h2o2. It's a good preventative for root slime and shit. But it does not cure anything. Aqua shield can be used in an organic tea blend that you can use to cure and prevent root slime. so, BEFORE you get any shit growing your roots, either should do fine right? but if you have root slime then the tea should help "cure" it? Ok.. I'll read this link you got here thanks man

Basically yes, if you have nothing use h2o2 every few days to help keep the water clean. If you get slime then follow that recipe. Innoculate the res mean you are going to grow/birth beneficial microbacteria inside your res that will feed and live off the slime.

Yes and no. I have yet to try this method, haven't needed to yet.

h202 kills beneficial bacteria and you are wasting your time using both together.

No one's using both.

Ya me either. I just wanna "sharpen all the tools in the toolshed" know what i mean?

When I did recently transplant my clones from the cloner, into my 5 gallon buckets (multiflow ebb and grow) it seems like they took a good little while before they started doing ANYTHING above the hydroton.. Im sure roots were being established but I feel like maybe they were shocked a bit, i dunno.. Im new to hydro, and only had one soil grow before that, which ended two weeks too early due to herming plants

Right, I wasnt planning to use both, just trying to find out the difference and weather i should use one or the other and at what times.. ??

Hydro is fun. It takes a little getting used to but can be mastered easily. Definitely get all the knowledge you can. As far as transplanting to hydroton, I don't until my clone or seedling has a multitude of roots. I also transplant onto a thin layer of hydroton just above the bottom of the net pot, so the roots won't have forever to find water.

I am running my 1st hydro table after a long time with coco.....I am curious regarding this as well.

Thats exactly what i did. I did a fill cycle, saw how far the water was comin up, and placed them about .5-1" above the water line. And they had about 3-4" of roots. I dug a little in the midddle to get the roots down there and set the rockwool (wont be using anymore..) at the .5-1" above the water line mark.

What was worrying me, being my firs ttime running this was "is the water getting up high enough?" but now they are showing good signs of growth. Just took a litle bit.

The whole benificial microbes thing tho... I just know nothing about. I know im not adding anything but Gen Hydro Flora series, and their additives. And I have been adding 1ml H2o2 per gallon. It askes for 3ml per on the bottle. But I was seeing ppl saying how thier stuff got all messed up doing that and others saying its great. So hard to get a straight answer. Then others talk about aquashield.. lol
