H&G Nutes Recipe Help..

I am a new grower and currently growing ebb flow 4x4 trays, 1000watt hps, sativa grow using currently GH lucas formula (because it was cheap to start with). Quickly finding that I want to go with something better, more performance and cleaner..I am getting great results as am now into about 4 weeks flower and buds look tremendous! Just wondering what I get out of a high perfomance nute line like H&G!?

I plan on using H&G Nutes organic and need help on a recipe..I am thinking of the following and would like any input/substitutions that make sense for health as well as cost for the same effects. Thank you all in advance@!

Aqua Flake A & B
Drip Clean
Cal Mag (using RO water @ 0ppm)
Multizen
Pro-Tekt
Bud Xl
Top Max
MOAB
Hormex
Hydroplex

Flush with: Florakleen (not too necessary since drip clean is used I think...)

System: Ebb Flow, 4x4 trays, 1k HPS, Clones in 4x4 RL cubes, Coco mat, 1" thick, 40 gal rez.

you want to go organic? i dont think H&G is organic
Yea I don't think so either after researching it some more... It is not an easy thing to tell syns from organics, its a pain int he ass lol.

Also, I not that set on organics from what I've been reading, synthetics seem to be just as good if not better an less hassle, don't affect the taste (arguable of course). I would say that after reading compare contrasts of syns and organics... Whacha thinks

i think for hydro, synthetic is fine and maybe preferable. For soil/outdoor organic can be really nice.

as for your noot reg, you could probably get away with Aqua flakes, bud XL and cal mag and be good 2 go high performance ready set . Other ones dont have a large effect imo

Thanks for the input. I have only worked with lucas formula thus far, GH micro and bloom, cal mag, epsom salts and got some MOAB in there so far. I like your simplicity of Aqua AB, Cal MAg and Bud Xl recipe to start with. I just want the plants to achieve everything they can (kinda like children lol) and use a more high performance lineup like H&G. What about root health, vits and aminos and and pest and fungus protection? Thanks.

I have heard great things about their line of product but haven't
gotten around to running it myself to see. I do plan on using their
Shooting Powder as I have heard many people say that it is a must
have from their line. That and their Roots Excelurator.

I run the full house and garden line. Dont use the drip clean. Any flushing/ cleaning will do. I use florakleen from gh so i save a little cash. They sugest to use great white for beni's wich i use and works great. But im looking into brewing my own. just for something to try and see if it works. could save me some cash grerat white is a bit expensive. Then the only outher lines i use is humbolts own. Gravity ,snow storm ultra, purple max and bush master. wouldnt use anything else for hydro. Soil is a diffrent story.

Yes theres something to be said about running the full line of their nutes, they seem to really be well researched and the nutes combine to form a complete system it seems. When you say complete does that include the algen, magic green (foliar), bud xl and top boost? Also any changes from running in an ebb flo to running in an aeroflo?

thanks for the info. Maybe with the aeroflo run with drip clean so salts don't have a chance to stick and gum things up. I think the H&G is clean stuff so maybe not needed...

Drip clean costs around $20 for 500 gallons worth so affording it shouldn’t be a problem. That’s the thing with House & Garden, it is all very concentrated. If you compare the straight run, following the chart, of H&G vs. the competitors it is the cheapest. In my local hydro store they have comparisons posted. That’s what sold me…….. Peace

Don’t use the algen if you are doing aero as it will clog the sprayers. With aero you generally don’t want to use any biologicals, except for roots excel, as they will gunk up everything. Substitute Thrive alive for algen so you can still get your b1 and vitamins. Bud XL and Top Booster are both o k to use in aero and a must have for your regimen. Bud XL is actually an enzyme that extracts sugars and oils from the stalk and the leaves and puts it into the bud for a super sticky harvest. Top Booster is to be used the week before shooting powder for 5 days and signals the plant to go into late bloom. This kicks your plant in the butt and triggers heavy flowering. By the way, Drip clean is the only product of its kind on the market. It flushes and removes salts while you feed. This allows for less flush during your run and at the end before harvest. I use all three of these on every run and am a very happy camper. Peace and good luck…
