ok I’ll try and keep it short. Noticed some problems on my girls two days ago.

The grow deets
1000wt mh @21”
Ffof soil 5g airport
Chem dawg x1 and blue cheese x2 all femmed
Nuets Dutch pro AB, Multi total, take root and Calimagic
Distilled water, ph was between 5.8-6.5 according to DP feed chart. so I was shooting for 6.0. Learned I should be at 6.5.
Was mixing 1 gallon water jugs and converting feed chart to ratios for 1 gal not 26g shown on chart.

Week 6&7 of veg from seed.
Fed full strength 2 days ago.....that’s when problems started.

Ok so plants looked good 2 days ago. Some leaf damage from removing a scrog but no big issues from what I could tell. Here’s a pic before the feedD6CDF5C8-62AD-4116-912C-EF08696B1112.jpeg

Not too bad. The one in the back looked a little pale to me and is the same strain as the one on the right which is blue cheese. The left one is the chem dawg. So I figured it was a little low on nitrogen maybe. Up till now I had only given them nuets 2 x but it was less than an 1/8 star because I wanted to test. And they seeemed fine then. Figured they were pretty good into veg I’ll give them full strength based off the chart and converted for 1 gal. Split that one gallon between all three plants.

Next day I noticed yellow tips and spotting on a lot of the leaves. Did some research. Concluded I should flush. Didn’t do a normal flush like people argue about. Just poured a gallon of distilled water without any ph adjustment into each plant and the. Tested and drained the run off which was about 10-12%. Ph was 6.5 and ppm was 250’s for two plants and 560’s for the other one. Seemed low but I hadn’t tested the soil ph up till then so didn’t know. I’d add more pics but they all look like this one all around the plants more spots on one than the others

I posted in a couple existing threads here but didn’t get much advice mostly negativity but that’s the inter web for you.

Anyway, I was told flushing wasn’t needed at those numbers from runoff which i kinda agree and was told to renuet my plants however, I checked them this morning and the color seems to be better and the discoloration seems to have quit spreading. Wondering if maybe it was just my ph was off and should wait a little before adding nuets since it’s FFOF. Here’s what they look like this morning before lights out about 10 hours after the 1 gallon flush

My question is do you guys think I should feed them or just water them next time?

Ok thanks for the advice. Ill give them a feeding when soil drys up a bit. Hopefully I don’t burn the shit out of them lol. Hopefully my maths correct for converting the dosage from a 26g res to a 10g res.

GH Floranova Bloom.
Running it 1/2 strength from the get go this grow. No bloom.. A/B.. extra nutes.
One bottle. Everything you need. 4-8-7 ratio.
Sometimes too many moving parts makes it harder to manage.

yes bro, i was gunna say 4ft might be better since ur plants are growing into the light &
2ft above the canopy is for end of flower stage
Well shit. I’ll move it up and compare and see. I hate that there’s so much information out there that’s wrong or misleading. THey seem ok even at 21” just not sure if they had nuet burn or are starting to show deficiencies. But I’ll try the recommended advice and see what happens.

Can u see the top leaves are lighter green at the top of canopy?
That means to much light so maybe u could dim the light to 600w

I thought about the light being too close as well when he posts on the other thread. But it happened right after he changed the feeding and the light was always at the same height.

The lighter green is just the color of the new growth not light burn. The op isnt close enough for light burn. Light burn the tops will turn yellow. And in flower besides turning yellow the buds at the very top will turn white and kind of look like cauliflower.

I agree if the op can dim down to 600 then he can up it to a 1000 when he goes into flower.

Im going to leave that statement upon further review if he is at 21'' he should dim down to 600 or raise it up another foot cuz maybe its causing stress since its a 1000 but he hasnt crossed the line to light burn just yet.

I started them at 600 and moved them to another room and turned up the light to 1000wt but I raised it to 21” thinking that was enough. Everything else in the environment is stable. So should I not feed them with nuets again and just use water or can I go ahead and start feeding them nuets next feeding in a day or so? Thanks for all the pointers. Makes a lot of sense now. What about the yellowing tips and spots? Is that light dmg too cause I was spraying them with plain distilled water ph’d to 6.0 for the first like 4 weeks like 4 times a day. Maybe too much?

I don’t really see the tips being light dmg. There’s leaf dmg on some cause they were under a scrog and I decided to move them a week ago. But the tips and some brown spots looked like nuet burn to me. I’ll check them at 18:00 and see how they look. Pulled some dead shit off them yesterday and cleaned them up a bit. Nothing crazy. They seemed to look better and get more color after I poured a gallon of distilled water through each one honestly. The yellow tips are still there but haven’t progressed and some seemed lighter. I’ll adjust the light and dim back down to 600 and just watch them and if they get worse I know I need nuets. If they don’t I’ll stick with water till flower. Hurry up and wait bongsmilie

I would feed them add microbes add humic acid and keep doing what your doing. The spots could be a deficiency or just a plain old spot that formed shit happens. It might be a Molybdenum deficiency but idk really. The humic acid will keep micro nutrient deficiency's at bay.

I can think of no reason to spray distilled water four times a day for weeks on end on the plant unless your killing bugs, trying to grow P.M. or trying to foliar feed flush a plant which doesnt make sense.

. Maybe too much?

100% Correct >>>> The spots is leaf tissue dmg from water spray & light burn so if u want to raise humidity add a dish of water.

All the info u provided gives the complete story & add 1/2 dose of cal mag to ur nxt feed cuz the No. 1 problem in a healthy garden is:
NOT ENOUGH CALMAG & PLANTS GET TO BIG FOR THE LIGHT

The plants look squat to me. Which is fine depending on your space. I like shorter plants.
If you raise the lights you'll see them grow more vertical. Again, space dependent.
Yes they'll stretch when you go 12/12 but the reason they look small for 7 weeks is the light height.
You slam lights down on them that hard and that's what they do.
As far as the color... take them out into natural light. They'll look darker.
The discolorations could be many things.
Personally I don't like multi part nute regimens. Too much maintenance.
Find yourself something simple to use.
Like I mentioned earlier, I'm now using Floranova. Game changer. No problems and I've used the same bottle (bloom) thru 5 weeks veg and now 2nd week flower. 2x4 tent and I can only fit one plant.

Thank you Bernie, Vertical and drsaltz for the much needed info. Saltz that’s a hell of a Bush! Just got home so gonna shower and check the ladies. They were still pretty wet before lights out so probably won’t feed till tmw but I’ll add a dose of calimagic to the res on top of the Grow nuets I already added and give them a feed. Gonna leave it at 1000wt cause I kinda need the heat generated from it but I’ll move it up to 3ft for now and see how she responds and adjust further if needed. My tents a 5x5x7 so I should have plenty room when flower comes. I only planned on begging another couple weeks really. Honestly once I see them bounce back and get healthy I was gonna flip them the following week. Think it’s too soon to flip or should I wait another couple weeks then flip?
